Stihl iMOW Robot Mowers - RMI 422 P $999 (Was $2,149) and RMI 632 P $1,599 (Was $3,199) at Participating Stihl Dealers

150

These both appear to be a clearance product in some stores, but most Stihl dealers haven't caught on yet. I've found two participating dealers:

Henderson Mowers Ballarat

RMI 422 P - https://www.hendersonmowers.com.au/brands/stihl-chainsaws-br…
RMI 632 P - https://www.hendersonmowers.com.au/brands/stihl-chainsaws-br…

Stihl Shop Barossa - Tanunda, SA

RMI 422 P - https://stihlshopbarossa.com.au/products/rmi-422-p-clearance…
RMI 632 P - https://stihlshopbarossa.com.au/products/rmi-632-p-clearance…

EDIT - Just a heads up. I ordered an RMI 632 P from Henderson Mowers and they emailed me this morning that the wiring kit doesn't come with this and costs an extra $378.

he has mow lawn no good

    • +6

      Could you tell us why?

  • Better than Worx landroid?

  • +4

Why bother paying the premium for Stihl here imo. This is not their area realistically. So why pay the premium for the name tag when it’s their r&d products in the early generations for consumers.

Lots of much better received products out there at the price point.

And you named none of them.

    On clearance for a reason.
    Save your $$$

  • What a temping proposition and from a well known brand too. 👍

  • I had a Worx landroid, it got confused and stuck a lot and eventually the battery died after a year.
I ended up leaving it on the side and hire Jims Mowing whose been doing this for years now without me having to do anything. Also, Jims do hedging and trimming the bushes and so forth.

    • YA. Need to HODL with this new tech to mature into 4th 5th gen before springing for it.

I am still waiting for GPS mowers to get their act together. I think it's going to happen in the next 5-10 years.

      • Actually I’m waiting for mowers that could pick up dog poop as well, it’s a pain to have them run over fresh made piles when you set them on auto.

has anyone actually seen these in action at the front lawn? because I feel people would see this doing the lawn and try to steel it lol.

    • +1

Not try. They will take this orange blob off ya hands.

    • +11

      saw one.

can confirm, was tempted to stihl it

I have a different brand robo mower and use it on the front lawn as well, but normally either at night when people are less likely to be walking by, or when I'm doing other things out the front anyway so can keep an eye on it. Plenty of people have a look at it if they happen to go past, but I haven't had anyone try to steal it yet. Most have pin protection so you need the pin to pair it with a phone/app or even start it manually from the unit, so it has some protection - others have alarms so if they get picked up and the pin isn't entered in a set time, the alarm will go off.

  • These are trash

  • What is considered the best robot mowers? Husqvarna?

    • Mammotion for consumer level got to be a consideration.

    • None of them are a Sithl. None are OZB worthy as good value.

Most will stop working when you snip the guide wire eventually. You will give up trying to find the broken wire…. then it will just sit in the garage.

    • I have the ECOVACS Goat G1 and I’m convinced I paid $2500 to be a beta tester

  • The info says that you have to have the vendor come out an install a boundary wire in the lawn. I would assume that isn't covered in the purchase price. What say you?

  • Stihl not enough discount to mow in

And no one want a mower that sits stihl

Please bear in mind only the trained dealer can sell and install these Stihl robotic mower.
Plus, the wiring kit is about an extra $500, and installation is about $1500.
Segway's cheapest robotic mower costs $2899 which doesn't require professional installation as it is satellite to route the mower.

    • Thanks

    • Wow, they must be using my lawyer to install these. He charges about $600 per hour so 2 hours for installation I reckon….
