I have a feeling nvidia will rebadge the 4090 as a 5090 considering the massive leap over a 3090 this turned out to be. They're greedy buggers so it wouldn't surprise me.
Even though i am a AMD person, i'm not just saying this as a hate blah blah. It makes sense, why make something even more powerful when this is kicking butt already… And at 1%…
This is a good price though imho

rebadge? wtf are you smoking. 5090 will be on Blackwell architecture. When has Nvidia ever rebadged their halo 90-tier card from the generation before?

Honestly folks.. If you have decent internet. Try GeForce now. You get to use an RTX 4080 for $30 a month. It’s insane how well it works. I was sceptical too until I tried it. Once again, good internet and WiFi is a must.

    • Do they have 120 plus fps streams

      • Yep, 4K up to 120fps. Honestly, I think a lot of people would be surprised as to just how well it works. Only issue is the game list is limited, but slowly growing. E.g. can’t play RDR2 or Elden Ring.

yeah I've used the free tier a few times…

tho some games like league of legends no longer supported due to riots anticheat introduced preventing vms to work w it.

plenty of other games detect VM so GeForce now won't work sadly

  • I have the non RGB version of this card and it's quiet and runs cool , no coil whine , great card.

I'm always surprised that ppl are surprised anyone owns these. It's still a cheaper hobby (at a high level) than road cycling, golf, skiing etc etc.

Plenty of older gamers out there will full-time jobs and of those some would have a business for which they'd simply run this through the financials.

Agreed, gaming boomed in the eighties, guess what? That generation are now in their 40's and 50's. People spend crazy amounts on other moneypits like shoe collecting, designer handbags, boating, fast cars and faster motorbikes. Its just another hobby and the kids got bigger.

      • Yep spot on. And given how many hours can be lost on the endless sea of free content we've all been collecting arguably great value on a per hour basis at any price.

Will afford to drop this much on a gpu… maybe in 5 yrs? 😂

Thought that was the cost of the pc

  • guys should i buy this or wait for 5090? whats the price hike likely be? 10%?

    • I suggest waiting for 5090, or buying it under 2000 when the new cards come out.

I will buy if it will play GTA6 in max setting with 60+ fps.
