Great price on this vacuum cleaner from a reliable brand. Purchased the SL60D previously and been really happy with it and this model seems to do everything the SL60 does !

Link takes to Amazon and not ebay

  • The larger dust bin can fit in this model if you don't want to

    • +1

      Don't want to: mop?

  • Love the unit. The app is buggy.

    • +1

No problem at all with the app for me. I have two units and have set up 3 units for friends/family as well.

    • +4

Use the smart life app and then setup home assistant runs like a dream had a expensive vac a few houses back this one is equal. One shortfall is the water doesnt auto refill in bin dock

      • How do you rate the compatibility with Home Assistant?

      • Yeah I'm curious about how you leverage the vac via HA too.

I have added my SL60D using HACS+TuyaLocal with the end goal to eventually bypass the cloud nonsense completely but the support for this model seems pretty basic ATM.

I'm in the process of updating the model's entity mapping to make it more useable but since I almost exclusively use Room selection cleaning, unless I can get a map imported and working in HA then it's gonna be tricky.

  • +6

SL60: two front brushes > SL61: single front brush and slightly longer battery.

The app works great for me, no issues. Perhaps reinstall.

The SL60 has been one of the best value purchases I’ve made in the last 12 months.

    • +1

I bought the SL60 a couple days ago, I absolutely love it! Previously had a Deebot N79s. This unit is much better than the N79s, love the mapping function.

    • +1

So true, the fact that you can set up automation within the app and basically set-and-forget is awesome.

I've had some bugs with the map in the app but nothing major. Just keeping map backups and re-launching the app resolves any issues I've had.

      • Yeah having some map issues too, can't click to save it, but if somehow still remembers all the rooms it's done

  • Does anyone know how long the warranty is I always struggle to find warranty info on Amazon

    • 2 years

  • I had to return mine. It stopped charging after 2 runs.

    • -1

what is this with ppl negging comments? Its a genuine feedback. Are ppl not interested in genuine feedbacks anymore?

      • Guess not.

  • +4

Some other models on sale too. I can't tell which is best.

    [L15 5000Pa] (https://www.amazon.com.au/Lubluelu-Cleaner-Navigation-Editab…)

    [L20 5500Pa] (https://www.amazon.com.au/Lubluelu-Cleaner-Navigation-Editab…)

    • I am thinking of returning my Dream l10s Ultra and getting SD60 or SD61,
I use less, Mostly vaccum with stick and run when I need to mop. No pets.

60% of house is hard wood floor rooms are carpet. What you guys reckon. Which one is go to vaccum?

  • +6

SL60D is also $223.99 at checkout after 30% off coupon: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C1P2L2GB

    • So the SL60D is better than SL61?

What's the deal with only 1 front brush?

      • +2

2 brushes seems better for picking up dirt and getting into corners

    • I don't see a coupon for this one?

      • Looks like it's gone now

  • What’s the warranty on these? Anyone

    • +1

"2 years" but the customer service rep will do absolutely everything to avoid taking it back for repair and instead, offering tokenistic replacements like a stick vacuum or partial refund but keeping the item

    • +4

Our smart TV's, phones and smart watches are all most likely recording our conversations anyway

    • +2

My vacuum is welcome to hear my conversations. Anyone who owns a smartphone is at much more data security risk than a robot vacuum owner.

    • +1

In terms of knocking things etc, after the first few runs you'll get into the habit of keeping wires etc off the floor or in a way where they won't disrupt the vacuum.

At most I've only had it push light things across the floor a bit, nothing major. It's generally good at stopping when it encounters something without slamming into it.

    • +1

Wait until you hear about these nasty things called mobile phones.

    • Despite the negging, you're not wrong - it was just recently shown that Ecovacs vacuum cleaners were hacked and made to follow people around variously shouting profanities and slurs at them. One person, a lawyer, was glad it wasn't used to silently record conversations instead of being just a rude turd.

Not only did the hackers do this, but the ABC were able to replicate the exact same hack and did so to their own journalists (obviously with consent): https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-10-11/robot-vacuum-yells-ra…

Any robot suck machine I get will have to be fully self-sufficient without internet, with bonus points if it's HomeAssistant controlled. I refuse to have this dogshit smart tech put my family at risk.

  • +9

A lesser known feature of Lublulue robot vacuums is that they are also bluetooth speakers. You can pair your phone to it and play music etc.

Sounds bloody awful, but it does work!

    • +2

Queen - I Want to Break Free on repeat

    • Noticed this too, but is there a way to restrict it?
From what I could tell, anyone within range can just connect to it via bluetooth and play anything

    • +4

If you update the firmware I believe they patched it so you can't do that anymore.

    • We discovered this by accident when trying to set up my daughter’s bluetooth headphones!

  • How easy is this for split and double storey homes? Just pick it up when it done and it will continue itself in the new area?

    • Yeah I bring it (SL60D) from downstairs to upstairs and push start and it remembers the map for upstairs.

      • Really??? You don’t change the floor in the app?

        • I'm still all new to this vacuum, but yesterday I did a big clean upstairs on the carpet. I just pushed the start button on the vacuum and it looked like it remembered the map for upstairs because it just went and cleaned each room perfectly

      • +1

Keen to learn how you keep two floors in one map?

    • I save separate maps for upstairs and downstairs and just switch between them in the app when doing each floor.
Bit of a faff and app can be buggy with the maps but overall not bad.

You do have to manually bring it back to the floor with the dock as it'll search aimlessly for the charging dock.

  • I have a robrock and works pretty good! It saves my cleaning time a lot.

  • This or Eufy boostIQ 11S for $189 on sale?

  • SL60D bought one and mostly worked fine. Despite taping the dock to the wall so it won't move when the robot comes back, it still has issues most of the time docking back.

Seems like it can only back in and make contact with one of the sensors but not both…

    • +1

      Mine has this issue too

      • I don't get it because it should just remember it, don't have the issue with my Roborock ;/

    • No issue. But doesn't manual say a few cm away from wall.

      • Tried that and that doesn't work either. Just doesn't know what it's doing :/

  • So much bad reviews for map !

    • It can be annoying, but just keep a backup of each floor's map and you're fine.
Definitely still worth it for the price

  • +1

This was looking like locked in purchase for me until I went down the rabbit hole of looking at the other Lubluelu models - there’s so many!

All seem to be within similar price ranges but unclear of the major differences so I’ve just confused myself and decided not to purchase.

Anyone know if there’s a comparison table?

  • +4

This robot is rubbish,Ive ask ebay to replacement or refund today,if I can get the refund that would be great, but its been 4 months, the problems getting more and more after 2nd or 3rd time of use,it wont go back to the self clean dock automatically you have to do it manually, once its in charge half of the time it will stop charging then back to charging then stop then back, the robot will tell you that none stop so you have to turn the robot off and dont know its in charge or not, even you let it back to dock again or manually do it again it still half half of the chance happens, sometimes in the night it fully charged still will tell you start charging and wake you up,if they dont replace or refund me,Ill take couple videos listing the problems,by the way,the robot battery only last very short of time, about an hour.

    • +1

Happened to mine too. Got a new one and it works for now.

      • … then doesn't work now, same issue. Sad!

  • +2

I got the 60D in the last deal. It's alright but definitely save your map once it has mapped the house.

Mine gets confused under the bed and turns the room diagonal, which ruins the map.

I re-mapped the house a few times before I finally realised you can save and retrieve the maps.

    • -1

Yeah these are lidar and require some light. Id imagine complete darkness

      • Ah that makes sense. I thought they generated their own light. I let it go in dark rooms haha

      • +1

Why would LIDAR require some light? It's a laser.

        • -3

LiDAR is an acronym for Light Detection and Ranging.

          • +3

@alcadive: Doesn't the source of the LIDAR produce the light that it then senses? Doesn't it bounce light off objects?

          • +1

@alcadive: Thanks, hence the reason I'm asking, as our fellow OzBargainer is saying it requires "some light". Reading it in context I understand it as it won't work well in darkness and needs some light to function, which I find strange as it's LIDAR and it uses the laser to measure the distance and locate things, so it shouldn't matter if there is "another" source of light as it uses the laser.

      • +1

The light it requires isn't visible light though, it's infrared (which it produces). So it doesn't require natural light.

    • mine has multiple versions of the house all rotated, all on top of each other that show in the map. Makes it harder for me looking at the detail on my phone, but it seems to actually do the vacuuming properly so I don't bother changing it….

      • It's probably worth moving necessary furniture and resetting your map and re-mapping, then saving it.

Then you can give it instructions like doing certain rooms, or spot cleaning, or custom routines, and it will work.

If you want to use that stuff, that is!

  • Does it integrate with Home Assistant?

    • +1

the map part needs other stuff, but the steps to start it, return to base etc runs fine in that with just the tuya integration.
I start it running with a button press on an ikea remote. That works well, not sure if I could also add option for different rooms etc

  • Does this work with a self-emptying station?

  • What can it do via voice control?

  • What's the maximum height this thing can traverse?

  • Any thoughts on whether a dual brush is better than a single brush?

  • Will it get stuck if i have one of those $9 Soft Toggle Bath Mat from Kmart in my room?

  • Does anyone know if upgrading the docks power adaptor to 1A or 2A will speed up charging time?

  • First impressions:
    - navigates surprisingly well, incredibly agile in some cases. Sometimes gets a bit confused near mirrors or the raised edge of sliding door tracks but still finds its way
    - seemed like it might get tangled in any cords at floor level, like most other robovacs afaik
    - sucked up a really surprising amount of dust and fluff, even on its low power mode
    - charging is pretty slow
    - if it continues to work well, it seems like good value at this price
