Per-Transaction Gift Card Limits at Online Stores

Is there an OzBargain guide to how many gift cards can be used in one transaction at online stores and portals?

I ran into the hard limit of individual gift coupon codes at eBay a while ago (6? 8?) and I was wondering if there's a repository that tracks how many can be used at the various online portals like Amazon, eBay, etc. I've got something like $900 in e-gifts from doing various focus groups and was planning to use them to get myself a Quest 3, but it occurred to me I don't actually know how many you can use at once at amazon, and that this would be quite the bummer to discover after cashing in several hundred bucks of them and trying to apply them to one transaction.

Anyway, is there any resource for this? I searched a bunch of different terms on the Amazon and OzBargain site and didn't find anything concrete other than essentially, "find out lol".

Amazon is unlimited. Just add them to your account balance.

    I dunno.

JB HiFi used to cap it at 5 or 6 or something and offered you to pay the Balance by Debit or Credit Card or PayPal.

    I'd suggest the following tips.

Look at the expiry dates first and try to use those expiring soon first.

Redeeming "High value" gift cards should combine to achieve your purchase sooner, so IF there is a limit, burning the low value ones (while attractive) isn't helping.

Keep track of those you do/don't redeem either by printing them out or make a simple spreadsheet. Note expiry dates and part redemptions.

Don't dispose of Gift Cards or Vouchers after use.
In the event of a refund, Store Cashback or Rebate claim or Warranty issue, how you paid might be important especially if they want to refund to the original source of funding (eg Prepaid Gift or EFTPOS Card).

Is what you want to buy available in store?
Maybe that is an option or workaround?

Recently, I purchased a MacBook from JB Hifi online. I used around 20 - 25 gift vouchers.
