Seems to be an often reoccurring deal with CommBank Yello. Screenshot
Note that you can use this to buy (discounted) gift cards which makes it a great deal.

Nothing in mine for Coles
You can even do a cashout and they will still honour the cashback
But that's cash advance, more likely pay more in fees than cashback.
Use debit card
Ok, fair enough.
Was about to say (for credit card) can possibly work if the card account is in credit to cover the withdraw, but there's still a $4 or 3% fee.
Can you do cash out without buying anything?
Definitely not at self checkout
I think it depends on the store you go to.
I have been to a couple of stores recently where the service desk has a hand-written sign saying no cash out.
Do you have to buy something with the cashout?
So you mean i can buy a $1 thing with debit card, cash out $99 and i can still get the bonus if my offer is $10 for $100 spend?
Yep if they haven’t patched it yet
$15 off $150 for me
$10 off $100 for me
Nothing for me, no reoccurring.
Not very great for the billions in profit CBA is making and keeping, unlike others like Woollies, David Jones, Uber One, Menulog, Doordash, Shopback/Westpac who’s somewhat doing a decent job which helps out with cost of living.
Do you already shop at Coles using your card? That might be why
I had one spend at Coles less than a month ago.
But then again why are the conditions so strict given the billions in profit CBA is making every quarter.
Just the promo game. Coles prob set the rules on it
@doggmatic: Not necessarily if CBA is willing to chip more in.
Yes. I never use this account at Coles and get this offer every time.
Same. Just $5 per $100 spent for me. I got the $15 per $150 a fortnight ago. Too lazy to read the fine print.
you missed this "/s "
This one’s serious
Never expect anything from CBA, or any banks….
It’s not about expectations bro, it’s about speaking up.
Further Shopback/Westpac (and its group of banks) are doing better job than CBA with these deals.
got 30 off 200
We have an offset account and the mortgage account. Could that be the reason I don't see any offers in the Yello tab?
Same here
There are 3 criteria:
You have to go through T&C to check what "eligible" means.
thanks browser. yeah i don't do any transactions apart from the repayments so i guess no luck for me
If you can't be bothered with the above, just do 5 transactions every month and that will get you to Everyday tier which will give you offers such as this post
@foxes28: I have multiple loans/ transaction accounts. Have Yello. Do 100's of transactions..never got one of these offers :(
Only get the $4 back a month.
Com Bank are hopeless. I have a 6 month ongoing claim via AfCA (different issue) and have a direct complaints contact. She can't find a reason that I don't get these offers. But they do refund me my annual wealth pckg .. multiple times a year..as they are hopeless.. the Bupa of banking!
@tunzafun001: how do you get a refund of the annual wealth package? I wouldn't mind saving $395
@cheap4321: Due to CBA being useless and charging for nothing.
Pointed out another bank has the same insurance product for less, no charge for multiple offset accounts….and can actually answer a phone when you ring (without push 5, push 3..2 weeks later it finally gets to where u want), an instant Osko system and can actually deliver on a promotion/ bonus without filing an official complaint to get it..oh and 0.54% less rate.
Remind me why I am paying a fee… They couldn't come up with one and refunded it.
@tunzafun001: Do you call them every year to refund it? Or speak to chat.
@cheap4321: I can't stand chat services. So used to call (CBA's phone is equally stink). Now I have a direct email. Just chose a recent 'CBA uselessness' each year and send an email. Try a credit union….SO MUCH BETTER…in every way.
@tunzafun001: i guess i need to spend time to set up the initial conversation then have a direct line to complaints team
@foxes28: Like BPay?
Complete 5+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card
It doesn't specify anything so I'd say BPAY counts as outbound transaction
I only have a debit card account and don't do anything else and I get this offer every time.
I regularly pay $1 every day to Zip to make sure have 30 eligible transactions each month.
$15/$150
$5/50 for me. Seems like once a month since May/Jun.
15/150
Here's a hack.
Coles is having 20% Nintendo eshop cards next week.
Purchase $120 eshop cards = $100
-$10 via yellow = $90
Save $30
It's not a hack, stacking discounts with cashbacks is nothing new.
I know. Just pointing it out…
None for me this time. I often get $5 / $10 off $100. It's great when buying gift cards already on sale
$10/100 for me :)
30/200 here.
Says can be used online - reckon alcohol purchases count?
Nothing for me
Nothing for me. On homebuyer plan.
I never recieve these Coles deals when they are posted here…
Terms and conditions suggest Gift cards purchases not included in the deal.
CBA can't tell what you purchase, so as long as the total spent meets the target, you'll get the cashback. So Gift Cards will count, people have even mentioned getting cash out worked!
Perhaps however it just pops as a coles purchase. Last 3 rounds of this offer have been various giftcards that i have recieved cashback for.
And this shall add to the collection of giftcard purchases
After I bought all gift cards I need, this offer came up, lol
You could spend $100 on non-perishables you need that are on a half price special?
Same, lol.
But I'm about to cash out a bit, since I will need cash when shopping at Asian store, that normally charge fees for card payment.
5/50
10/200 here.
How is that fair, and why? ^sad face^
Never get anything in Yello. Have an account, but only do two transactions a month.
Any gift cards from Coles can be used at Woolworths?
If you are talking about Woolworths in-store, the following gift cards sold at Coles are usable at Woolworths:
The issue is that Woolworths’ checkouts will automatically reject these gift cards if you are purchasing some gift cards (e.g. eBay, Everyday WISH, Vanilla Mastercard), so that is something to keep in mind if you were hoping to use a gift card to purchase another gift card.
I should mention that all four of these gift cards have purchase fees, so make sure to factor that into your calculations.
If you are talking about Woolworths Online (where you purchase groceries), I am not sure whether their online checkouts will reject Coles Mastercard gift cards or Vanilla Visa gift cards as payment methods.
If you are talking about Woolworths Group’s online gift card portal, you cannot use Coles Mastercard gift cards or Vanilla Visa gift cards as payment methods, because:
For Coles Mastercard gift cards, Woolworths Group have specifically blocked them as a payment method if you enter them directly into the credit/debit card section of the online checkout.
For Vanilla Visa gift cards, Woolworths Group will reject them, as the website will reject any Visa cards not supporting 3-D Secure (and that includes Vanilla Visa gift cards).
Having said that, you should be okay to link a Coles Mastercard gift card or Vanilla Visa gift card to a PayPal account, then use PayPal as the payment method on the Woolworths Group gift card portal.
The first scenario, to use at Woolworths in store.
Ordinarily I don't mind either supermarket. Accumulated good amount of Everyday Rewards points from previous Vanilla deals, because we do small shops so only using $10 or $20 at a time, balance paid by discounted gift cards.
Would have been nice to stack this deal, I guess falling back to Coles Myer GC.
$5/$100 for me…
