UP TO.. is commonly used as weasel words.

Just like “made with 100% real beef” is not the same as “this patty is 100% real beef”.

They could charge twice as high a daily connection fee and still be 27% less on the usage fees.

Have never heard of this company so I’m not claiming they’re being dodgy, just obviously check your specific rates, check for hidden fees etc. All the usual stuff.

Thanks for the comment, I will change the heading. We did get 25% on electricity and 27% discount from Energy Australia.
And yes, we are newly form company and you will get bill directly from Energy Australia instead from us.
There wont be any hidden charges.

    It's not a freebie…

    • It is free for the membership fee until 30 June 2025

You need to pay to get a 'discount' on your electricity and gas…

        That is not a freebie.

        • Oh, shell I change the category? This is my first post and I am not 100% sure. I thought it is free membership up to 30June2025 so it is freebie for now?

          • @woofwoof:

is free membership up to 30June2025

Read the title of your post…

            • @jv: Yes, if you leave the group on 30 Jun 2025 then you still get the discount and dont need to pay for the membership fees. So is that still count as freebies?
BTW there are no exit fees or penalty, you can leave anytime you want.

    What are the rates ?

Electricity rates vary based on your tariff. If you upload your latest bill on our website, we’ll analysis it and let you know if you can benefit from joining us. This service is completely free and comes with no obligation.

      • But after you have handed over a plethora of personal information

        • Yes, to provide a tailored analysis and determine potential savings, we do need some information from your energy bill. This helps us offer accurate advice and see if you can benefit from our group discounts. Rest assured, your information is handled securely and used solely for this purpose.

  • do you offer something like $200 sign up credit as well?

    • Sorry we dont do that, we try to get the max discount so all our members can enjoy lower energy rate in a long term savings.

Caution: no privacy policy is visible on the website. Be ready to have your business data sold and be prepared to be bombarded by marketing spams.

    • Thanks alvian for the reminder, I just updated the site. Sorry we are only a very small company and have to do everything ourself. 100% we will not sell our member's details to anyone.

  • So many red flags here

    • Hey Bruceflix

I understand that our offer might seem too good to be true. As a small business ourselves, we know how challenging it can be to negotiate with big energy companies.

We’ve worked in the energy brokerage industry for over 10 years and have now decided to start our own business to help other SMEs save on their energy costs. By leveraging the collective bargaining power of multiple small businesses, we can negotiate discounts that individual businesses often can’t secure on their own.

Our approach is straightforward: we handle all the negotiations and paperwork, so you don’t have to deal directly with energy companies. We aim to provide the same advantages to small businesses that larger companies enjoy.

If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to reach out. We’re here to provide clarity and support.

  • Well hopefully EnergyAustralia has better business rates than they do for retail customers because I wouldn’t join them for retail even with 25% off but if they were 25% of the government standard rates here in Victoria and gave $200 sign up credit I’d consider it.
So what exactly are you offering business customers? Are you going to constantly be searching for better energy deals and making money when they port with commission fees? What’s the long term plan? Do they need to provide payment info to sign up even though it’s free until 2025 it will you send them an option to subscribe as a paying customer when that happens?

  • Hi Clarky,

Thanks for reaching out! Here’s how it works:

For small businesses, energy discounts aren’t typically offered like they are for residential customers. Energy companies vary in their rates, and there are no set rules—some areas have better rates with different companies. That’s why we need to analyze your energy bill to determine if you’re getting the best deal.

If you're currently with Energy Australia, joining us will secure a 25% discount on your bill. If you’re with another provider, we’ll analyze your bill and show you if switching could save you money.

Typically, we charge a $39 annual fee after you see the savings on your first discounted bill. However, with the discount code for OzBargain members, your membership is free until June 30, 2025. We will send you an invoice before June 30, 2025, for the next year’s membership fees, and we won’t keep any payment details.

We have secured the discount rates until June 30, 2026. When this period ends, we will seek out the best deals available at that time. As our group grows, we’ll have increased bargaining power to negotiate even better discounts for our members.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions!
