"So, here’s a fun riddle: if I make a payment on Monday, it shows up as paid, the money disappears from my other account, and it’s now Wednesday—why can’t I spend it yet?
Spoiler alert: it's not available until Friday. But wait, there’s more! The chat support bot was apparently taking a break during work hours (because why not), and when I finally connected with customer service, I got sent to India for a lesson in the art of waiting.
The rep tells me, ‘Oh, it’ll take 6 business days for your money to magically appear.’ When I pointed out it normally takes 2-3 days (give or take a memory lapse), she tells me to check back tomorrow or the day after. Delightful, right?
Cue the supervisor—same spiel, but he says 3 business days. So, naturally, I point out that today is day 3, but apparently, the clock starts when they feel like it, he says he counts the business day starting from tuesday and 3 days is thursday but the money will show up on friday.
And as for why the chat service was 'closed' at 11:30 a.m.? Rep 1 said they prefer to give 'personalized service' over the phone (lol), and the supervisor? He just shrugged it off with a ‘that’s not my department’—even though he’s from 'online.' Isn't chat also online??
Am I the only one who feels like Latitude is just trying to test my patience (or going under)?! Anyway, anyone else made a payment that’s vanished into the Bermuda Triangle of banking before it’s ‘available to spend’? Or is it just me living this dream?"
Nah they definitely been going downhill for ages. If it wasn’t for grandfathered price protection I’d drop them in no time.
