@WwDesi: Yeah thinking i would actually get better value just upgrading my GPU with the money. It doesn't seem a massive leap over the PS5 which has never been pushed to its limits.
the new gen of airpods actually seem like a decent upgrade, might be worth waiting for those even if they cost more

Agree. Love my AirPods 2 like this deal but I've been waiting new non-silicon tipped airpods to come out as mine are losing battery capacity after a lot of use.
Need to try fitment. I didn’t like the AirPods 3’s so ended up buying a new pair of AirPods 2’s not too long ago.
The fit/shape of the gen 3 ones is completely different - lots of complaints of them falling out and the new gen 4 ones look the same (no idea if they fixed that or not)
The gen 3 ones kept falling out for me so I returned them and bought gen 2 again - they’re great
The new AirPods have ANC, somehow. They are practically the Pro 2 without the rubber ear seals.
It's like how the Samsung Galaxy Beans aka. Buds Live have ANC, despite not being 'in' ear like the Pros. Don't think it'll very effective IMO since there's already little if any passive noise isolation
Don’t forget the AirPods 4 with ANC also come with a wireless charging case that has a speaker and supports Find My. The non ANC version just has a USB-C charging case without those features
Do they have tap controls or controls like the pro?? I vastly prefer the non-pro controls.
I only watched the recap, but I think it does. Should just watch the presentation, the AirPods part only goes for like 7 minutes probably.
Seen a few comments online with the "somehow" sentiment, thought I'd add here that ANC has nothing to do with the silicon tip seal.
ANC = Active Noise Cancelling, means a microphone picks up on surrounds, an opposite phase of that sound is then played through the speaker with your music.
The aim that the outside noise will be ACTIVLY cancelled out by the mic and speaker combo when all sounds hit your eardrum.A rubber tip seal is a Passive Noise Cancellation technique, like a pair of ear plugs.
Of course adding ANC and Passive Noise Cancellation in the same product, like the AirPods Pro, you'll get a better noise cancellation result.
But the new AirPods 4 can have ANC, since it has nothing to do with the rubber seal.Hopefully that helps when seeing ANC on non rubber ear sealed earphones.
While it’s the cheapest, I no longer see this as a bargain, with the new AirPod 4 $219, if you’d consider further cash back and discounts.
(Though personally would go for other better brands options, enjoy..)
