CBA Yello haven't given me their monthly Spend X for Y cashback at Coles for September so I need to top up my Coles Myer GCs another way. Those used to consistently be a 10% discount.
7 or nothing for me. 5% isn’t worth it when I have Coles Mastercards and flybuys dollars.

How to redeem the gift card? Can i add the card to my 7-11 account and scan my account barcode to combine discount with lock price?

The gift card in this deal is a rebranded Activ Visa gift card, so you need to go to the balance check website for digital Activ Visa gift cards.
Add the card to your digital wallet, acts like a normal visa credit card. You can scan your 711 app & tap your phone like any other visa card.
7-Eleven digital gift cards are prepaid Visa gift cards. That means you will need to add the 7-Eleven digital gift card to a supported mobile wallet (i.e. Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Samsung Wallet) and then tap to pay like any other Visa card on that supported mobile wallet.
When it is time for payment, you will need to tell the staff member that you want to redeem a Visa card. However, if you need to do split payments (e.g. you need to pay $110, but you want to use a $100 7-Eleven digital gift card and pay $10 on another payment card), it will depend on how the staff member feels.
just my personal experience, I normally just ask for, pay by card and split payment

Can't you use it elsewhere? It is actually accepted at most petrol stations.
I bought probably $1k+ value since the release and none of them was redeemed at a 7 eleven.
@Neoika: I usually use fuel lock on the train to work as I can get the fuel 10-20c cheaper a litre , that why it was a Hassle , I had to work out the discounted price and exactly how many mls I could pump to get it to $50 as twice prior he would accept a part payment.

WM, I believe this is not necessary if the gift card will cover the entire payment? In fact, I usually don't say anything and most attendants will assume payment by card anyway so then I just tap the Visa GC just like any other card
You are right, if you say card instead of Visa card to the attendant as the payment to use, they should know what you are talking about. (Also, if an attendant sees you holding a phone and you do not say anything, it is safe for them to assume you want to use a card as a payment method.)
My point is that you do not mention anything about redeeming a gift card, because 7-Eleven has physical gift cards that are redeemed differently to the gift card in this deal.
I bought one gift card in previous deal and it never worked at 7/11. I added in Google wallet too. Tried with number and code. Can please someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Do you have Samsung Wallet? That works for me with these Visa Activ gift cards. I could not get Google Wallet to work either
