Video Camera (Micro Four Third/MFT) under $2k Gh5ii or ?

Any suggestions on the MFT camera for video ? I was looking at GH5 ii (Panasonic), seems to tick the box for me.

Anyone else using? Or better alternative

I already have few MFT lenses 45mm, 60mm, 12-45mm, 40-150mm (Olympus). Hence, trying to stick with MFT system.

Thanks for your time.

if doing mainly video, and need to be in mft - then yeah prob gonna have to be GH5 ii - just shop around though , eg at Georges its $1697

Not many places left to really actively shop against each other though since Michaels closed down ages ago, JB stopped carrying most of the mft gear if not all, HN doesnt do any either (iirc). Ebay 20% off offers far and few between now too, and are usually limited to something stupid like max $300 discounts and are also subject to price jacks most of the time now too .

I've been weighing up getting a GH6 off ebay, there's a place in Japan that sells second hand ones really cheap (and they have a lot of them). That's usually a red flag, but it's map camera, who have been around for ages. They give good descriptions of condition.

Either that or the Alice camera is really nifty looking for video - https://www.alice.camera/deal-2024 - bit of a wait on getting it though and I'm not a fan of anything with "AI" slapped on it.

I have no idea really, I haven't used either and am just going off positive internet vibes for the GH6, it seems a serious upgrade and I'd like to pretend I'd shoot in prores and do serious film stuff (which I would never do). But the much better sensor, processor and speed seems worth it for a little bit more.

I just have some m43 lenses around because I used to use an EM-1 (mark something or another) and wouldn't mind something for video, I'm not seriously into the space.

I also found it for $2k here - https://www.camerapro.com.au/11225-panasonic-gh6-mirrorless-… - that one is brand new. Maybe I'll hold out for black friday sales though, I'm in absolutely no rush for one. It's much more likely to wind up being like my EM-1, I took it on holiday and shot 50 phones on it, 500 on my phone.
