The Crew 2 on heavy discount. Is it worth it? I don’t know, haven’t played it but reviews are ok

Ubisoft confirmed today that The Crew 2 will have an offline mode implemented "soon" so it won't suffer the same fate as the original game.

Will believe it when I see it. Features get promised then cancelled all the time.
This is one of the best online racing games going. The problem is Ubisoft who will do something to the servers and make the game useless.
It's also $1.50 from Ubisoft (they also have the gold edition on sale for $26.99) and Xbox has it for $1.40 for anyone rocking a xbox one or series console.
Sadly it looks like it uses BattleEye and it will not run in Linux via Proton. :(

Worth it for me, as I do have a PS5.
One of the few Ubisoft games that never got a proper PS5 patch (there was no native PS5 version).
So it looks really low res and ugly imo.
Tried it on PS+ and deleted it soon after.
I just played it and it has a quality / performance mode toggle.
Not worth it for me either, as I do not have hands.
Didn't they take the first game offline? and now its unplayable? Are they trying to get some money before they do the same to this game?
They literally just announced The Crew 2 and Motorfest are getting offline modes.

Took them long enough, wonder if either the French or EU government finally forced their hand.
Unfortunately still no resurrection of The Crew other than the offline patch coming from modders.
Wow at this price it’s not even worth looking up reviews to see if you might like it. Just buy!
I found it's a game with not a lot of replayability but at this price it's definitely worth it

I just bought it because my nephew has it and is always hassling me to get it to play online with him. For $1.39 I don't have to play it a heap to get my money's worth out of it.
First edition still has one of the best cinematic trailers

I can't seem to complete the purchase on PlayStation store. It may not allow me to purchase because I don't have PS+
It asked me to sign up for PS+ but there was a ‘skip’ option at the bottom of the screen.
very odd, wondering if it'll be delisted or have its servers shut down soon making it unplayable
other commenters confirmed that its getting offline mode so don't need to worry about unplayability but cant say how that will affect the overall experience

yeah, i bet management would try to show investors that while Start Wars Outlaws is a flop, we have our old games getting interested in again. Show the number of sold copies, rather than $$$ it brings
the handling and drivefeel is some of the worst I've ever seen even in arcade racers and the insipid pursuit of instagram followers as a gameplay goal is cringeworthy
The Xbox One & Xbox Series X version is also on sale but for $1.40. I guess they rounded up a cent.

Been playing this on connect since yonks. For this price I just boughted it again for PS4 and X-box. Will be very interesting to see how the game differs across the three different platforms.
Now to pop down to EB and pick myself up a PS4 and an XBOX.
