Haven't used this one before.
Anyone used this and the Platinum Plaisir or Preppy? I really enjoyed how they both felt to write with, would be interested to know if the Lamy is similar or better.
Platinum steel nibs have slight bounce to it which is nice, less so in Lamy. Platinum fine nib is a bit finer than Lamy fine. The smoothness pretty much depends on paper and ink, don’t really feel that much different in their steel nibs. Lamy nibs are easier to change, and more nib options available. Downside is, clip on my Plaisir broke after a week, maybe got snagged on fabric when trying to pull out quickly. Lamy Safari range definite built tougher than that.
Overall I would pick Lamy over Platinum, but that’s just my personal choice and experience.
Lamy safari is great go to fountain pen , it's what I take to work as not expensive if lost vs my other pens …great value at this price…convertor not included but they are cheap enough off ebay
I concurr. I've bought a lot budget fountain pens, IMO this is the best value fountain pen you can get.
