This power bank posted previously is half price again for those who are looking for a magnetic portable charger. If your phone doesn't support wireless charging you can still use the USB-C port for 20W PD fast charging.

As bonus the power bank has an integrated phone stand and it supports pass through charging.

It's worth mentioning that the 10000mAh version was better value at $24.49 or $2.45 per 1000mAh, while this is $2.67 per 1000mAh. Regardless it's still a pretty good option in my opinion and I believe you can never have too many power banks.

  • Thank OP! bought again.

Good price and power bank but as an FYI, it doesn't work with my Pixel 9 Pro XL and any of the MagSafe compatible cases I've tried.

Charging cuts in and out. Wired charging works fine, and you can magnetically attach it to your phone and use wired charging.

    • Interesting, do any wireless power banks work with your Pixel 9PXL + case?

The Ugreen 10,000mAh wireless power bank is the only one so far that charges at 15W.

Options such as the Anker MagGo 10K work but only at 7.5W.

I'm still waiting for a few more options for testing for a TechRadar article but so far the power bank results are not great. Interestingly most of the plug in MagSafe wireless chargers I've tested work at their full rated charge speed.

        • The Ugreen 10,000mAh wireless power bank(amazon.com.au) is the only one so far that charges at 15W.

Have you used this one with your P9PXL? Can you confirm it works and charges at 15W?

          • @LeifAlbor: Yep, I have that power bank and have used it on my P9PXL.

To be more specific, 15W is the power bank output, and up to the 12W max is what the Pixel will actually charge at. Depending on what case you use (which determines how much power is lost from the wireless transfer), the P9PXL will accept up to the 12W maximum but it may be less.

In contrast, other power bank wireless chargers I tested tend to only manage under 7.5W.

            • @Prong: Brilliant! I've had my eye on that powerbank for a couple of weeks, but wasn't entirely convinced about pulling the trigger. Thanks

Same experience with two different cases (Bellroy and an Amazon generic one)

Very sad but I'll use it as a camera powerbank

      • Yeah I was disappointed too as it worked well on my previous Pixel.

I've tried it on the leather Bellroy case, two generic Amazon ones and the Case Mate Signature clear case.

It does work if held in just the right spot with no case, so it seems to be a transmit power limitation.

    • Good to know it's not just me! Also had the same experience with my Pixel 7 Pro with MagSafe case too. I wasn't sure if the powerbank itself was faulty.

    • This might be the case and where the magnets are. For some reason, most Pixels don't have the charging coil perfectly aligned around the G logo, but that's where a lot of cases have the MagSafe magnets. I have the 8, but here's the info about the 9 series: https://www.androidauthority.com/google-pixel-9-wireless-cha…

      • Yeah one generic Amazon P9PXL case I have has them in the wrong spot, but the others have the correct offset. It's an annoying issue though – most of the Pixel 7 Pro cases (at launch) were wrong. The Pixel 8 Pro cases weren't much better at launch.

There's something more at play, as this is a fairly widespread problem, and the chargers that don't work have the same behaviour with and without the case.

  • Bought two similar ones yesterday at $28, doesn't hurt getting another one right?

The code is no longer valid from my end.

    • Me too

  • Me too

  • WTF, bought this for $32 just last week for my iphone 12 pro max.
No regrets as it's exactly what I wanted, and at $32 it didn't break the bank. at $16 this is a no brainer!
