I recently switched my son’s mobile plan from Southern Phone to TPG on the $12.50 for 6 months small plan. He’s been saving for months to buy the new Apple Watch with GPS, which is set to release soon.
We’re now looking for the most affordable mobile plan that supports the Apple Watch with GPS so he can leave the house without his phone and still stay connected. What’s the best budget-friendly option for this setup?

I’ve looked at BetterRoaming also, do you recommend them as a provider? How is the service and cell reception? I couldn’t find what provider telco they use. For reference, we are rural SA.
@zj14: Yup, without Cell, the watch won’t be able to work by itself for your kid (providing you don’t supply iPhone for your kid yet)
In terms of better roaming coverage, not too sure, you might need to contact their support to know the network coverage in your area
Second this recommendation, no iphone required to pair (setup as family plan), and no real sim required.
I've been using BetterRoaming for my kid's apple watch 6 with GPS; so far so good; perhaps something that you can give it a try?
