Which one?
Tegel vs Steggles
Steggle's aren't that crunchy. These are way better
Share a link as Steggles I have seen are only comparable price when Tegel is NOT on special.
Tegel is far superior product than Steggles. Discounting taste (which is subjective) — Steggles has a chicken content of 44% whilst this brand is 66% (viewable in the ingredients list).
What this means is that there is 50% more actual meat, rather than filler like flour… which goes to explain the difference in cost as the cost it takes to produce these differ (meat is more expensive than filler)
I bought these (tegels) at full price last month, didnt live up to the hype, but at $7 they will.
having just finished the final bag (of 4) from an ozbargain impulse buy I can report these are horrible and overhyped.
no depth of flavour other than salty or salty and spicy, poor quality, and being frozen it's not gonna taste that fresh
if you really want fried chicken that's relatively cheap but higher quality than this go to KFC
I second this. They taste really poor to me too.
Greasy and terrible texture. Tried them once, never again.
I too bought a bag of this chicken based on the hype here. It was somehow both dry, greasy and the coating was salty and tasteless. Even the chicken had very little taste.
I dont get the hype behind these
Bought them once them never againI thought I was the only one to think the hype was over rated and they were super salty with no real taste.
Won't be buying again……I do have two packets of tenders and two packets of burgers still to try
Tenders are super salty also. Won't be buying again
I think many see Tegel and confuse them with this version that never goes on sale anymore. The other portions and burger styles are mid but these are hard to tell apart from a zinger fillet
Yep these are the only good product from Tegal and haven’t been half price for a while.
Guess I’m the outlier here, I got the Nashville ones and thought they were great. Easily the best frozen chicken I’ve ever eaten. Only 6 in the bag though, so even at $7, they’re not exactly “value”
I thought one colour (red bag/orange bag) tastes good and one tastes bad but can never remember which is which
tenders all dayyyyy
Are the noodles spicy?
Yes
Are people comparing these to its competitors or actual proper fresh fried chicken? In comparison to other brands, steggles have the thickest and least appetizing coating on their chicken/ wingettes. Aldis home brand are decent but I find that they usually include pieces that are 60% batter. In fact tegals in my opinion are much better than most shops I've tried such as original kfc, marry brown, big mamas fried chicken, red rooster and various korean fried chicken shops. But, if you want good chicken, nothing beats fresh from good shops but they're 5x the price and may not be convenient.
I was with you until you started referring to tegals being better than KFC, red rooster, korean fried chicken etc.
Don't read it wrong, I said the shops I've tried the original recipe kfc, all red rooster fried chicken is bad and most korean shops aren't good. Not all restaurants are equal. Go visit more restaurants and you'll see what I mean. Maybe read the last sentence again
copy paste of your own words - stay off the weed mate!

Their tenders and burger steaks are far better.
ok buy at this price, I wouldnt pay over $10
Nashville Style or Louisiana Style ?
which tastes better?Nashville is the spicy version if you like spice. I say it has more flavour
Louisiana is pretty close to KFC original recipe, though the Tegel version tastes more 'salty'. The Nashville is slightly similar to KFC hot n spicy.
Yay they are back for $7. I personally like the Nashville version. And this brand is one of the few I've seen that doesn't have Anti-cracking agents in the ingredients. Good for last resort quick fix dinners.
The only ones that I think are worth getting are the extra crunchy chicken burger patties. They are great for school lunches!
Crunchy chicken burgers are the lowest quality/cheapest to produce tegel product only containing 54% formed chicken. Not to say 54% is bad compared to other brands, Aldi chicken tenders are also 54% formed chicken, but they cost $9 every day and you get 1kg.
how's the kimchi nongshim?
Quite enjoyed the packet variant, a bit more sour than regular Red which I didn't mind at all. Nice addition of dried kimchi in the flake packet as well. Not too sure about the cup variant though, probably similar soup base but thinner, inferior noodles.
No stock in Melbourne?
Yea. From east side to city.
Whats the difference between Nashville and Louisiana style?
New Zealand chicken. Similar products made in Australia at Coles cost less than these when half price. Still cheap at $7/kg :)
