Hi All,

Kogan is offering the Lightning cable at a reasonable price
From memory there was a deal on OzB not long ago which was 2 lightning cables for $18 plus $2 shipping, so this is little bit better offer

for iphone 5 and latest apple devices

Cheapest I have found on ebay delivered from within Australia is $6.89
(http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8Pin-Lightning-USB-Data-Charger-C…)

From Oseas (China) $4.31
(http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-8Pin-Lightning-to-USB-Charger…)
(however delivery is expected early Jan 2013!) and not sure about quality of product even though Kogan might be getting it from china aswell, not sure.

With this kogan offer you also get 12 Months warranty

I believe this is a decent price if you want something from a big retail place

the discount code takes further 90cents off
final price $8.10

I have a feeling that will ship from HK. It just says Sydney warehouse but will ship from HK?

    • I think it will ship from Sydney not Hk since given shipping time is few days compared to the direct from Hk which is much longer

  • It's always hard to compare "no name" cables like these to say it's a bargain or otherwise. Well, for me anyway.

    • Does it matter what name the cable has on it?

      • For this yes - very early days on lightning cables and reviews on copies thus far have been poor.

I think they're cheaper on DX anyway.

I'm going to do a birthday deal in about an hour. Cheaper than this, stock available now in Australia and local warranty- 12 months (flexible)

I'm holding off until someone releases a 3m version, over time I have converted all my standard 1m 30 pin cables to 3m and I'll never go back!

    • you can get adapters and just use your 30pin cables

      • I know this, but ugh. I can also buy 2-3m USB extension cables to get the same result but I'd prefer a single cable solution.

    • Same. I can actually use my phone in bed etc.

  • grabbed a couple, thanks

  • I just bought 2 of these, and both are faulty, the white plastic piece slides off the connector when you go to pull the cable out, revealing in both cases that 1 out of the 4 wires has a broken solder…

    About to contact Kogan.

    • Appreciate the feedback!

  • More feedback from me from the two I purchased. Both cables display a warning sign "Charging is not supported with this accessory" exactly like this image. http://absinthejailbreak.com/forum/wp-content/uploads/2012/0…

I have an iPhone5 and Ipad mini and both devices show the same error which for a charging cable is pretty useless.
