    Used to do direct to LA, but last few times have been doing the Fiji route. Normally land at Nadi in the morning, get a hotel room across the road, and then fly out that night. Decent way to break up the flight

      Personally by the time you add in the hotel cost, transport cost, additional sundries during the stopover - I dont it of particular value than just flying direct and having more time on the other side.

      Rather spend extra $150 and fly qantas/united direct. Better aircraft, service etc. Maybe if Fijiair fares were more like $800~ I’d consider it.

      Just a note (not to this commenter but in general) that FJ time some of their flights from AU into their North American departures well now, maybe 2 hour stopovers.

    737 max crashed twice. of course they claimed it is fixed.

    Looked at Fiji Air previously from LA to MEL.

    It was codeshare direct to Sydney, then over to Nadi, then back to Melbourne.

    Was super cheap, and was going to just get off in Sydney and say I was crook and forfeit the rest…but wussed out and didn't take it.

    Anyone know if they still fly this disaster itinerary?

    Just flew with them from syd to lax, can confirm transit in Nadi isn’t the best experience, I end up using the airline lounge for aircon. The airport is just so hot and humid.
