I have a Kmart one and mechanically it's very simple - turn a dial for temp, turn a dial for time. It is made out of plastic though, so the basket is now dropping out as the plastic catch holding the metal basket into the outer slider has warped and shifted. The front and sides of the actual air fryer bit is also warping and popping off.
So yeah, it's cheap and does the job for the most part (although it gets REALLY hot inside, it's not accurate as far as I can tell temp wise) you might want something with higher build quality to avoid short-term use waste.
I bought a r&h air fryer lasted 6 months before it rusted and had paint pealing off it.

Not sure if I am allowed to say this but choice gave the cheap air fryer at kmart (under 100) a recommend.
So if you want one cheap, I (they) would recommend it.
