I like big towels, can't be too big. And thick. They should be so big and thick that you can only fit a couple in your washing machine at once, if you don't have a big machine.

Many years ago I bought some Sheridan Egyptian towels (almost free, via an OzBargain tip-off), and I must say they are absolutely fantastic. They are soft/feel really nice. Despite having had a lot of use they are still going strong/not 'worn out'/thinning/etc. I would actually never go back to shitty cheap towels, even though prior to buying these I would not have cared about the quality of a towel. Towels seem to be a bit like shoes; you can spend $20 every year for a crap pair, or you can spend a lot more, once, for a really nice pair that last many years, and are a lot more comfortable to use.
I wouldn’t look for anything else. They usually on sale quite often either on The Iconic or their physical/online stores. Wait for them on sale and they are a bargain.
