I find this with most plims. No arch support.

As someone who exclusively bought Vans for years and hasn't bought another pair since branching out to other brands, I'd encourage other people to do the same.
Vans are purely for style points and that's all they're good for. If you're absolutely hell-bent on Vans, then I'd at least suggest models with either the popcush or ecocush insoles. These entry model Vans are absolutely awful and the outsoles have no durability.
Seconding the popcush, I have a whole heap of feet issues but those are great and don't cause me any extra pain
I actually find them super comfortable. I find I have to wear them for a few weeks first and then they soften to my foot shape.
I’ve recently started trying other brands after wearing vans for 10 years because they wear out in about 6 months.

I've been trying to find a replacement for plain black Vans for a while because I'm old and need arch support, but modern sneakers all look awful. Anyone know of anything low key with decent arch support?
Just throw decent insoles like Superfeet into them. They'll last a decade and be reused into new shoes.
+1 for superfeet! Expensive but I can wear them in my vans, airmax, converse as well as my running shoes and they'll all be comfy.
