I’m doing a lot of overseas travel and come back for a month once or twice a year.
My 365 Boost Prepaid SIM is about to expire and I’m interested to see if there is a cheaper option that allows call forwarding/diversion as I don’t make use of the calls or data while I’m away.
I use forwarding to forward my calls to a Crazytel VOIP number that I can access via the app and I leave the SIM in an old iPhone at my parent’s home on charge with text message forwarding turned on so I can keep iMessage with my mobile number and receive 2FA codes.
I rarely get a call to my Australian number or make calls, but it’s handy to have.
I thought about porting my number to Crazytel but then it’s a bit of a pain to use it while I’m back in Australia. Are there any cheaper options rather than the Boost packs that allows call forwarding call forwarding?
I think Boost or Telstra prepaid are your only options. Boost is about to get more expensive as well.
I'm not aware of any other carriers that allow included call forwarding to any number, but I could be completely wrong. Maybe some of the Optus or Voda MVNOs offer it as well?
