      • 1 for each slider bag in the packet?

Not really, this is just a nice reminder for us to check our rewards app… If you got different offer and do you want to tell, just put as comment, not as post.

    • In all seriousness though, targeted offers from Everyday Extra have been posted here since EE itself was launched which is almost a year ago now so it's not really new. Perhaps you can take it up to mods, to create a thread where all EE freebie offers can be posted instead (similar to Amazon Insufficient Quantity deals thread).

          At $70/year? No

          At $35/year? Yes (for me)
Wait for November and see if they have the same sale as last year

Some people will argue they get more points boosters on a normal account than on an “extra” account, but I save more with the 10% discount than the extra points ever gave me. You still get points boosters, just not as often and sometimes not as high as they were. But I saved more than $40 in the first two months, which pays for the year in itself, then my banked for Christmas balance is about the same as it was without using the subscription - plus the saving of $10-20/month on groceries

I should add, I don’t have a Big W near me. So the benefit would be greater for someone who does and that might make the $70/year fine for them (but still wait for a sale, cause half price > full price)

          • @linkindan: Awesome write up mate. Appreciate it. Will hang out for a discounted offer and see,

          • +1

@linkindan: If you save ~$20 per month on average and assuming that would be the case every month, I'd even argue that $70 annual fee is not too bad. Plus the additional saving you can have from Big W as you mentioned.

            • @foxes28: To a point, yes

But I have a sous vide, a pressure cooker and a very well organised chest freezer, plus I’m a chef, so I don’t have to buy meat that often and I make just about everything else from scratch for less than it costs to buy. The things that are cheaper to buy are usually non perishable and so I can keep stocked up. I can shop at Aldi or Coles or a butcher or whatever when they’re cheaper for certain things (or if like cereals, they’re better) without missing a discount to meet a minimum value of saving.

YMMV, but I’ve found for me $35 is great and $70 just puts it out at “I have to shop here to get my values worth” - but of course with access to Big W this changes.

              • @linkindan: That's my thing too. For meats and vegetables, I'm surrounded by butchers and fruit n veg shops. Their produce are usually better and priced better than Woolies too. I feel like the $70 would almost force me to shop exclusively there just to get my subscription's worth. Not to mention some non perishables can be cheaper on Amazon also - and that gets delivered to my door. For $35 it definitely is a no brainer, but the $70 will drive a change in my shopping habits.

          • @linkindan: I signed up last December at $35/year, but for me it's definitely worth it even at $70/year as I do one big shop a month and in just 2 shops alone it will pay itself off (1 shop if $35), but it's definitely not the case for everyone.

The big w one is just an added bonus, some months I use it, sometimes I don't, but it's definitely extra value + the free stuff you get monthly.
