American Tourister Light Max 55cm Carry-on Suitcase $129.60 (Newsletter Signup Req'd) + Delivery ($0 Metro) @ American Tourister

90

Been looking for a new carry-on hard shell suitcase and thought this was a good deal for a decent brand. This particular model, Light Max, has the lightest weight (2.3kg) for the highest volume (40L/44L), from what I can find. There might be others out there, but not in this price range. Different colours are available.

Discounted price is $144. If you sign up for the newsletter here: https://www.americantourister.com.au/on/demandware.store/Sit…, you'll get an additional 10% off code which brings the price down to $129.60.

Not sure if the other sizes are good value, but they are also 40% off.

Was just over $100 at Catch last month.

  • Great suitcase, was the number one pick on Choice when we bought ours earlier this year. Paid $144 then

  • Any way to remove the American Tourister logo from the case? I like the weight, but don't want branding on it.

Technically not approved for Jetstar if that's in your future travel plans.

Jetstar is Height: 56cm Width: 36cm Depth: 23cm
Bag is Height: 55cm Width: 35cm Depth: 25cm

Sure, you will probably get away with it, but every flight I take lately, is full of people walking up and down the aisle looking for a spot to put their bag, because so many people pack oversized cases.

  • why do people like hard-shell

  • For Polycarbonate fans, this one looks like a good deal as well:

  • TBH, this is the best carry on luggage by Samsonite, only weighed 1.7kg. https://www.bagworld.com.au/shop/detail/samsonite-lite-shock… albeit volume a bit less. But for my experience, it packed quite a bit of stuff with the light weight of it. But then again, price comparison purposes, this deal is far cheaper than Samsonite though.

  • Is the LIGHT MAX LARGE SUITCASE (82cm) Weight 4kg @ $180 worth it?

  • Same price at Myer for those that prefer.
    But prob not in store
