My RedEnergy bills have been getting obscene. Obvs aware prices have been going up but been on same plans since 2021 and last year i just wince, i cant look at it….
Finally lost it at gas bill though and in trying to gauge how much im being roted, they have polite bill hot tip recommendations, that i could dave ~$80 a year changing to their new plans… goto look at plans, but i'm already on them, at least its the exact same qantas saver plan name…. but my current "version" has different rates… I'm assuming they've changed the plans at some point, and assuming it was for the worse? rather then them actually being nice and saving me money.
i haven't had time to decipher all the bs documentation etc. the electricity one tbh does look better, same kwh but cheaper daily charge but i don't know whats hidden… but the gas seems more obviously worse with some of the rate periods the same, but some also worse…
anyone on top of what red energy has been doing with their plans? gas is hw only and its somehow costing me 250-350 a quarter.. its obscene.
They are under no obligation to tell you that there is a better plan. If you log into your account which you should, it will have a pretty obvious notification that you can change to the updated plan with better rates. They are even nice enough to let it count for the previous period too
