As part of the Pet Spectacular promo at Petbarn.
It comes as 2 x 13kg bags.
Reviews seem very positive on Google
Another good deal looks like to be on the SavourLife Ancient Grains Lamb and Rice Adult Dog Food 20kg bag for $99.00

Same thing happened to my Border. They definitely cheapened it after the buy out
Thanks for the review link, do you have any suggestions for my 6 year old cocker spaniel?
We use Hills Science for our Cocker cross and she has been great since the swap. We used to use ivory coat as our other dog had a grain allergy but the cocker cross would get ill on it.
If you don't specifically need grain free, hills is good.
Would this product be a good option? https://www.amazon.com.au/Hills-Science-Diet-Advanced-Fitnes…
@PTG Benny: Might be a good fit for your dog but note that there is high quantity of grains in this food which does result in a low fat product (good for fat sensitive dogs) but also means a lot of the protein is not coming from meat sources.
We tried lots of foods to find one our dog will eat and not get sick so your experience might be different.
Would highly recommend using that site to browse other brands of dog food. The community is super active on Pet Food Reviews (it's Aussie based). The members all actively review and email companies to stay updated with any manufacturing or product changes!

^This is a great updated list. But they also have decent lists for budget friendly options!
I'm not a Hills Science fan… for that price point you can get better quality dog food. There are better grain-free options out there with better balances of carbs vs protein (and use better quality digestible carbs).
At the moment I really like Lyka! But if you want budget the Costco (blue bag, grain free - Salmon flavour) of dog food is produced by Taste of the Wild and is a great option for the money!
Other brands which are fantastic are K9Natural and Ziwi Peak. My boy lived off those till he turned 20 :)
Costco Natures Domain grain fee is an easy to get (if you are a member) very good value grain fee dog food.
I vouch for this too! It's made by the guys who do Taste of the Wild. Incredible value for money when you consider the quality
What do you guys think of WSAVA guidelines for dog food and grain free diets causing DCM? Generally the 3 big brands that keeps to the guidelines is Purina (Pro Plan/One), Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin but they're also donating large sums of money towards the WSAVA. What is a decent dry kibble to feed your dog?
There's plenty of other good quality dog food brands out there! :)
I really like this site, as it's Australian based and the community is very active. They stay on top of any manufacturing or product changes and actively contact the companies directly for any issues or changes.
They have some great resources for finding a decent food to fit within a budget. I've linked the 2024 tier list, but they have other tier lists for grain-free options, raw, and budget etc… Just have an explore :)
I really like this review of Ivory Coat, the Pet Food Reviews community is very active in the feedback and keeping it updated with new info on the products —>

Anecdotally, we used Ivory Coat for years before they changed their formula back in 2019-2020ish(?). Started having gut issues in all my pups and had to switch it up. My dogs don't have sensitive guts, but something in the change just messed with their systems.
