  • If you already have Cubase or other products, check your account for loyalty offers.. I have Cubase 13 Pro, and i'm being offered Dorico Pro, Absolute, and Wavelab Pro for 70% off each

    • Time to pull out Cubase 5!

      • Haha. I used to run cubase back in the Atari ST days!

        • So what are people using these days & what product currently has the largest market share?

          • @OzyBe: I would guess Ableton Live is the most popular, but FL Studio is probably the best for a beginner.

  • +1

Cubase has some really good moments, but (unless they finally changed this in version 13) lots of weird mind numbingly dumb aspects that made me go back to an old version of Pro Tools. When you record tracks in Cubase rather than setting the original tempo to the tempo it's being recorded at it will just label it as whatever. If you then need to slow down the track (lets say for a sloppy guitarist to record at a slightly slower tempo) everything that's labelled properly will slow down almost transparently. But the natively recorded stuff will randomly double in length and act as if it was originally in whatever tempo Cubase arbitrarily decided. It's been a problem for a long time. I saw lots of solutions about regularly going into the project pool and manually relabelling all of your recorded files to be correct. But why do you have to do that? It's not been a problem in any other DAW I have used.

Anyone want to buy my Cubase 12 Pro license and use it for an upgrade? 😅

    • it's transferable????
