Current GamePass Expiring in a Couple of Days

I've just realised that my current GamePass Ultimate is expiring in a couple of days.

I've also just realised that the methods I've used before for getting a sweet deal on gamepass no longer work quite the same way. Added to that, gamepass now has different tiers as well, not to mention that stacking seems to be now curtailed. It's a heck of a lot of changes to wrap my head around.

Are there still methods that will net me the best deal on a few years of Gamepass? Honestly though, I'm only on ultimate because that was what the methodology ended up with with the best value. Realistically, I only have a PC, and there is apparently a PC only tier. Is there a way to get that one on the cheap?

Eager to hear thoughts from folks who are far more well versed in this.

Thanks

Time to stop playing games ???

    • I like the one where you can give them your login details and they’ll do it for you…😐

  • Probably a bit late for you now since your game pass is expiring, but using Microsoft rewards points to subscribe. That does require you to use Bing though.

I'm going to use the below and convert to ultimate when my gamepass expire as it's cheaper to buy 3 years of the below and convert then buy 2 years of ultimate.

  • Thanks for the input folks. I'm really on the fence now on whether to keep the sub as it is becoming significantly more than it used to be for me.

FYI if you decide to jump back, saveonit have the PC Game pass cards at $30 for 3 months - https://www.saveonit.com.au/product/microsoft-xbox-pc-game-p…

I was the same boat as you, it had lost its value, but for $120 a year I figured why not. I'll at least play Indiana Jones and Stalker 2 over Christmas.

      • Thanks for that! That does tick the box.

I can confirm that I am currently playing on a gamepass for PC subscription tier. Didn't pay a cent because I earned enough points from MS rewards from the info that @thespensa shared.

If I don't have enough points and I really have something I'd like to take for a spin, I'll go that route with the 3 months worth of cards.

  • You guys seem more versed on this than me but after following the Turkish guide in the past my ultimate finally stopped, but it asked to fix the payment details as was old or the turkish one in guide with no money. I used revolt card and it charged 44.99 try for the month and said it will keep charging 44.99 try recurring. Does that mean I will pay this ongoing ? seems a sweet deal as it worked out 1.99 AUD i think. This normal behaviour ?

  • I am in the same boat - my 3 year Ultimate expires tomorrow. Am thinking of going onto Standard for $16 a month as myself and my kids play it - though we're not heavy gamers it seems worth the price for what we do use.

I miss it a bit, but RL has been getting in the way of gaming so haven't really had much time to play. However, I've earned quite a few points using MS rewards, like @thespensa mentioned. Since I only use Gamepass on PC anyway, a month of PC gamepass is only around 7k worth of points.
