    Horses for courses. Synthetic material is pretty typical in most technical, moisture-wicking products for a range of reasons - feel, cost, functionality etc. These are light years away from the old nylon products you might be thinking about, although some people may still have "adverse" skin/sweat reactions. Obviously there are better alternatives (cotton, wool, linen) for different circumstances. Coolmax has been around for decades, and works.

  I remember about 20 years back when in Bali seeing a fake Jeanswest store in Kuta. Left me thinking it was funny Balinese people thought the brand was a luxury one in Australia, that they felt compelled enough to make a fake store. This stayed with me all these years.

  Anyway I'm waffling on like an old man.
