ZZZ Atelier Mattresses: No Longer Value for Money?

For those who’ve purchased a ZZZ Atelier mattress over the past 3 years, what’s your opinion?

These were an OzBargain favourite in 2019 and 2020, when they were commended as being excellent value for money. I bought mine circa 2017-2018 and it’s still going strong. I’ve never had a sore back and there’s been minimal sagging despite sleeping in it every night. Mind you, I rotate mine every second time I change the sheets, and only weigh ~70kg.

Fast forward to 2022 however and they were denounced here for their poor quality, bad customer service, and infliction of sore backs.

Did the quality drop between these periods or is it just a matter of OZB getting off one bandwagon and onto another (and if so who have they been effectively replaced by here)?

  I've got one in 2018. My only regret was not getting the firmest. Still been fantastic. I don't rotate mine. I like to see how far I can get the yellow sweat stains to spread.

  Had mine at least 5 years now and still think it's great. Better than any hotel mattress I've slept on.

  I got the super firm in 2020, going great, no noticeable deterioration.

  I bought one in feb 2022 and by the end of 2022, it was slowly killing my back. I've moved on to a firm Ikea mattress plus a mattress topper. It's been solid so far.

  Mine has sagged in the middle of the bed after 3 years. Even the firm ones is too soft for my liking. For the price that I pay back then it is ok but it sure is a hassle to get rid of…

  Mine has been going well for the last 2 years.

  I wish there were more options to buy hard matresses in Australia. In Asia, people almost sleep on "mattresses" they are extremely hard.

  Yes also had mine for 5 years, still going well. Sad to see the quality has likely fallen.

  i was thinking of buying one the black label. is there any other good ebay mattress? i have gift cards on ebay.. sadly. or I would go in store and buy one

  Superfirm mattress sagging on the edge where you get off - sag is like 3-4cm dip over 30cm length. The sag just happened out of the blue like the spring just collapse. Both my mattresses did it. Middle of mattress is fine so if not too fuss about edge support then get these mattresses

  Our's developed significant sag after 3 years - getting rid of it today (with a forty winks crown mattress ). For the price - ZZZ is almost fine - but a lot of waste and hastle renewing every 3 years.
