Obviously, this proprietary storage isn't as good a value as your average NVMe SSD, but it seems like a decent price for what it is. Some may prefer getting a decent, larger USB3 SSD and swapping game files as they see fit, but if you want expanded storage which meets the same spec as the internal, this is the way to go.

Brief spiel

The Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S with 2TB capacity, developed in partnership with Xbox, enhances your gaming experience by seamlessly integrating with both consoles. It adds up to 2TB of extra storage while maintaining full performance, thanks to its compatibility with Xbox Velocity Architecture. This ensures faster load times, richer game environments, and more immersive gameplay.

The card supports features like Quick Resume, allowing you to switch between multiple games instantly and pick up right where you left off. It’s designed for easy plug-and-play installation, or you can remove it to take your games with you, making it a versatile and convenient storage solution.

This is the kind of thing a corporation does when they are first in the console sales race, not last…

Great price, seems to be an ATL with Camelx3

  • Was considering this however opted for conventional SSD, Samsung T7 (1G) for $145 at JB. Got load time on FC6 (all 116G) from 90 seconds to about 25 on xbox one x.

What do you mean by this

  • Even for their "new" xbox series models, they haven't learned the lesson.

I like how this cost more than i paid for my xbox series s 512gb (white).

Same, this is why i haven't bought one, Might as well just buy another Xbox instead

Not sure how that would be of benefit, either you'd end up with 2 x XSS worth a total 1TB , or end up with 1 x XSS with 2.5TB. I know which I'd prefer.

  • Cheaper to buy a second Series S 🤔

I get it, I understand this that and the other about the tech and the money and the price and yada yada yada.

But as others have said, why would I pay 300 odd bucks for a terabyte (yes, I know this is 2) when I could buy a whole ass Series S for not a shitload more?

Baffling decision on M$ part tbh, and very bummed they haven't dropped in almost half a decade
