  • all they are worth tbh

These are made with better materials than the standard Jordan 1 low that retails for $160. But the original RRP is pretty steep. At the current sale price it’s not a bad deal. The cutting is different and the back padding is a lot thicker. Some people might not like the difference of the 85 cut.

You might want to check Sean Go’s review.

I have a pair and I think they are worth it at this price.

In Nike’s standard, the leather and build quality are quite good and better than normal Air Jordan 1, Dunk, Air Force 1.

  • Shipping kills the deal for me.

    • If you are near their retail store, you might be able to pick it up from there.

      • No option to pick it up tho

        • Sorry, what I meant is that you can try visiting their store instead if they are still available then. But I would call them to confirm stock and pricing for instore.

      • Yeah might call them up tomorrow and see if they have it at the store.

  • Hey mate I read you mentioned the make is different to the original 1s. I heard AJ1s are extremely uncomfortable?

    • They are different with the cut and have thicker padding at the back. There’s videos on YouTube comparing the 85 to OG. In terms of comfort, I don’t think there’s much difference as don’t think the sole will be much different at all. They won’t be as comfortable like shoes like ultraboost which have a lot more cushioning but same time I wouldn’t say they are uncomfortable that you can’t wear them. Probably just won’t be able to wear them as long as shoes with more cushioning.

    • Compared to similarly priced lifestyle shoes, like the Asics Gel NYC or NB 2002r, which have GEL technology and ABZORB, respectively, there's nothing on the product page for these Jordans to suggest anything in terms of underfoot technology. That's a telltale sign that you probably won't want to stand in these for hours on end. Having said that, I would probably just treat these Jordans as a nice date night or night out with friends shoe and there's nothing wrong with that. There are shoes for every occasion and I think these look great!

I was tempted to buy these myself to add a first pair of Jordans to the rotation but I prioritise comfort above all else these days.

  • For Nike sneakers I haven’t bought anything other than Air Max 97s and Air Max 95s since 2018, I just find them the most comfortable.
