    Is this actually any better than the super cheap no brand paracetamol? I thought it was all chemically the same and the extras are just marketing.

    Insane waste of money, look at this study funded by GSK https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9719709 (owners of Panadol). Summary: buy the cheapest paracetamol (not Panadol, paracetamol) available if that medication suits your needs after consultation with a medical professional. Paracetamol is great for reducing fever and for those with stomach sensitivity and young children, choose a NSAID if you require anti-inflammatory assistance.

      I would generally agree with you but $2 is a decent enough deal. Plus the cheap ones taste like bitter baby powder even if you gulp it down quickly.

      The findings revealed that the panel of GPs and endocrinologists in this study would prefer a product that provided faster disintegration, absorption, and pain relief with limited side-effects.           They prefer faster disintegration, absorption, and pain relief - as in a product like Panadol Optizorb, as opposed to the cheapest non-branded paracetamol which has none of those features?
