Port Mobile Number without Original Sim Card

Is there a mobile phone company I can port to without needing the original SIM card for a verification code?

I used all the data and got rid of the SIM. I want to keep the phone number.

  Of course no. Otherwise, it would have been too easy to steal numbers for years.

  Generally, you contact the Telco who issued it and say you lost it and want a replacement.

  Go to the company the sim is with, with all your ID and get a replacement sim?
