$12 Cashback on Boost 25GB 28-Day Prepaid SIM for $12 (70GB at Activation, Ongoing $35/Recharge) @ TopCashback AU

253

FREE Boost SIM after cashback. TopCashback has an exclusive $12 cashback on Boost 70GB 28 Day Prepaid SIM card that is discounted by Boost to $12 (excludes eSIM). Pay $12, get $12 cashback.

Please note the new T&C from Telstra/Boost for cashback: SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.

- Please note that letting the number expire and not recharging is eligible for cashback.

- Please don't deactivate or port away until you receive the cashback. Deactivate means requesting Boost to remove the number.

From Boost: If your phone isn’t recharged for a period of 6 months it will be deemed inactive and you will lose your number.

Can confirm that this Boost/TopCashback offer does track.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase, and must not be deactivated until your cashback is payable. If the SIM is deactivated prior, Boost may decline cashback.
  • Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. If there is more than one SIM in an order, it will result in an untracked purchase and the purchase will be ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs, recharges, phones, bundles, accessories.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

What to do and when

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 90 days of purchase.

  • Does this mean it's unsuitable as a stopgap for another plan?

    How long does cashback take?

    • +1

Cashback is usually paid in about 3 months so you have to keep this number for at least 3 months. It would be unsuitable if you plan to port out in 28 days when SIM expires. Telstra/Boost may decline the cashback.

  • Easiest is to just activate it as a new number, use it as an esim in main phone and then leave it and let it expire 6 months later due to inactivity.

    • +1

      Cashback is ineligible on eSIMs

      • I think that means when you buy it, you can't choose the esim option.

So you must buy it as a physical sim and do the conversion later on.

    • +1

@Xishnik @Jase1 Not tested for TCB yet but CR & SB have paid cashback when the physical SIM is converted to eSIM after tracking.

      • Me as well

      • @OzTortoise @Cocochicken @vodamerc Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to buy a Boost SIM card and had to downvote this free offer after cashback.

Also @ethannguyen Just wondering if you all had already purchased a few Boost SIMs before Telstra blocked you. A few people reported getting this message recently after buying about 4 Boost SIM cards from the cashback offers in the last month.

        • I’ve bought 1 in the last 3 months. Deal is unobtainable for many. I think the neg is justified.

          • @vodamerc: I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that the deal is unobtainable for many. Do you have the stats and can you let us know where this info is? Thanks.

            • @trixieb: Thanks for sharing the deal but this deal is unobtainable for many so their negs are justified since they can't obtain the deal. I am one of many people who can't get the deal to work even after trying a different address, email, card and browser. I've even tried on my mobile.

However, I do have an existing plan with Telstra and 1 expired boost plan that I signed up for months ago. It's not your fault but boost is definitely making things harder now.

        • This is my first time purchasing a Boost SIM card. I currently have 2 Woolworths SIM cards.

          • @ethannguyen: A few people were unable to buy as a new Boost customer. Sometimes it works typing in your address manually instead of the default address or changing your payment card.

          • @ethannguyen: Which device and browser did you use? iPhone/android/desktop? Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Safari, etc.?

I always use Chrome mobile browser in my android phone for cashback transactions.

In Chrome browser for example also worth to clear browsing data (All time). Just tick:
            ✓ Cookies and site data
            ✓ Cached images and files
            ✓ Site settings

I typed my address manually and put new virtual card from Wise for this transaction.

        • Do you know how to get unblocked?

          • @OzTortoise: Some people have reported success with modifying the following but it doesn't always work:

            • Change your name a little e.g. Rob, Robert, Bob
            • Type in your address manually instead of using the default
            • Vary your address e.g. avenue, ave
            • Change your payment card
            • Change your email
            • Change your browser
            • Change your device - phone or PC
            • @trixieb: Consider varying your address—it's too risky if the SIM gets delivered to the wrong address.

              • @ethannguyen: I meant as an example ave instead of avenue as it could be shortened or st instead of street. Still keep the same number and street name. Typing in manually gives you the option instead of using the default.

    • Yeah same, been trying for weeks.

    • Can't get it work for me either. Even trying to change name/address/card/dob/browser/IP, all to a brand new one.

      • Unfortunately may not work. Are you a new Telstra/Boost customer or have bought before?

  • +1

    I just bought this :)

Already tracked successfully as pending in TopCashback (Earnings). Got confirmation email from TopCashback in 6 minutes :)
