@Lizard Spock … i feel your pain … obviously I'm not printing the good stuff .. because I can't seem to get through the rolls that I have …

though this colour does look sexy as … so now i'm tempted as .. but I also keep looking at the big box of filament just sitting there

who has some super big prints of something really cool to print :D

    • +2

First time anyone's said that! ;-)

  • Are we likely to see a restock of Matte PLA anytime soon? Keen to stock up on filament, but shipping is just too expensive to justify buying a bunch in different orders.

    • +7

It was supposed to be today! 2050 rolls of a mixutre of matte pla and newer colours hopefully in next week

      • +2

Would be nice to be able to purchase a few rolls without shipping, to combine with other colors later when other colors are available. But I guess it's too much for you to manage and change the ordering system. Or to have the ETA displayed for other colors and be able to order fillaments not currently in stock, to be shipped when everything will be available.

Great filament quality btw, very happy with my previous purchases.

    Thanks, ordered a few

Also hanging out for matte and silk restocks

  • Hi,

How these compare to Bambu store pla filaments, and are the compatible with the bambu lab A1 printer?

    • +3

Bambu, or any printer really, doesnt have any issue with this filament.

I've never bothered with bambus filaments, I largely used sunlu/jayo filament and now siddament.

      I have an a1 and x1.

    • Works great in my A1 and V3 SE using generic PLA profiles. Gone through many rolls.

You can also download the profiles from siddament site - https://siddament.com.au/pages/slicer-profiles

      • +3

The generic profiles suck. Look at the max flow rate setting- it's set to something that's artificially low, half what is standard for even a bedslinger / E3D V6 hotend.

You can easily double it or just set it to the Bambu flow rate.

      • I haven't had any issues with the Bambu Basic PLA profile for Siddament. Haven't actually tried Generic PLA.

        • Generic PLA volumetric flow is set to 12mm/s compared to 21mm/s on Bambu profiles

    Are you open tomorrow, bro?

    • +2

Potentially but I'm still unsure, will know by 12pm tomorrow

  • Now the question is not to buy or not but how many rolls is enough?

  • +1

Great price if you need a lot, but makes no sense if you need just a spool or two delivered: on amazon you can get same price PLA+

    • +1

Where are you finding $14/kg PLA+ on amazon?

      • +2

There isn't. But free shipping means one spool of pla+ from Amazon costs the same as one of these from siddament.

      • For one roll it's $14 + $13 for shipping. Great price if buyng multiple rolls, still ok price for smaller purchase. I used Siddament filaments and really like the quality.

I like PLA+, but supporting Amazon vs supporting one local guy also comes into the equation for me.

I wish they had a store in Melbourne

        • @Sidddd .. ever thought about branching out to Melb?

Hit me up if you're keen ;)

          • +1

@CereaL: Tried that and that backfired pretty hard. Siddament.eu is the next store

@Sidddd When are you getting a restock of more of the Stringum Obliterus?

    I WANT ONE!!!!!!

    • +1

It should be in next week!

      • Counting down the days……

        • +1

oh damn, now I need this

    • +1

My first thought was that this sounded like fun. Now my thought is, what, there is such a thing? Colour me pretty, now I'm intrigued.

      • +1

I've wanted one every since I first saw it ages ago. I tried to find somewhere else that sells but they were WAY too overpriced.

    I like PETG better.

  • I buy all my filaments from siddament, quality stuff and cheap

  • I can't see Black PLA in stock. Am I blind, or are they in the coming restock?

    • it should have been here today but 2050 rolls are coming next week instead

  • Is the colour the one in the top picture or the second picture?

    • second is the real photo but cameras dont do colour well so I tried making the most accurate render of it so its a bit of both

  • +1

Thanks for the post, I like retro looking things, so I hope this looks like that old white from 90s computers.

Was also to able to find a dark slate gray looking color that I've been on the lookout for a while on your website under muted green (it's sold out now btw, I took the last one, sorry if anyone else wanted it 🙏)!

Would be curious on what actual dark slate gray (#2F4F4F) would look like though

    • +1

The muted blue is pretty close to that colour

    "Messed up the order"
    "Got sent the wrong colour"
    "Got the colour wrong"

This is just a marketing gimmick to make us think we're benefiting from your mistakes yeah? I mean I still buy filament from you, but come on.

    • +1

Idk man, reading the about section of the site… I believe it. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

    • Even though can agree at some point. Cannot see many other places with same price (sure, you might get different colors that you originally want). They can't really post a deal that wasn't a deal or discount. So, if they deliberately ordering off colors for cheaper from factory that probably doing same thing and sell here, does it really matter? Especially how hard it is nowadays for small businesses. Reckon pretty clever and still not a bad deal.

I thought about this and regularly joke about this. but if I was to do that I'd just buy 1000 matte black pla rolls that would sell in minutes instead of a filament colour that looks like creamer thats gone bad.

Problem is since basically all my colours are custom from the factories they sometimes use their own colours if I dont specify my hex code on each order which I do forget time to time for example the orange filaments it can happen as actually I have like 34 types of orange filament all with diffrent hex codes some with ral codes

the white there is 17 types of so when you order like 5000-7000 rolls a week theres going to be some issues usually its 50 - 100 rolls but this was a 800 roll mistake

      • Love your work and filament. Still got pink in the box that arrived this week. Not in any way having a go. Just totally understand. If the shipping wasn't too bad to WA would get a few.

    • +3

From memory, Sidd is a one man show. Ordering, packing, testing, providing technical support and partying (yes that's correct) and working with overseas vendors is a lot to manage, so it makes sense for these bugles; we just help him make it manageable by buying stock and the mix ups!

      Keep doing you, @Sidddd.

    • LOL it's not a marketing gimmick. I was there when he first opened the shipment of that roll (I wanted a white). He told me its the wrong colour and I wouldn't have even realised.

it is rare to see transparency and owning up to things but I will be returning because the combo of good prices, quality and not screwing the customer is a 10/10 for me

  • Haven't even opened the box from last order with pink. :). My cnc machine taking up some time to learn so getting back into 3d printing soon.

  • any glow abs?

  • The order notification and shipping tracking integration with apple wallet through ‘SHOP’ is great.

Any chance you are getting the tool colours back in again? It’s a neat idea just needs more ozito 😅

  • Did this price end @Sidddd? Was waiting for the restock of other colours before I bought more Cotton White to ship together and the price is showing $17.99 now
