Wired or Wi-Fi Mesh Network Set up (TP Link XE75)

I am a bit confused on the mesh wired or wifi network setup. So any advices would be appreciated.

So I bought 3 pack of Tp Link XE75 mesh units and I plan to set up them in the new house.
The NBN box is located in the garage which is an awful spot for the wifi connection.
I have 5 ethernet port in the garage which connects to each of the rooms and living room.

I am hoping to set up the 3 XE75 units this way.

First unit is in the garage connecting to the NBN box. Then next the first unit connects to an ethernet port switch, then from the switch connects all 5 ports on the wall.
The second unit is at other end of the house near the TV unit (on the same level as the garage). This will be a wired mesh from ethernet.
The third unit is used upstairs in one of the room and this will be a wired mesh.
So I still need one more mesh unit for the lower ground level room.

Just wondering if I get a single Tp Link X60 unit, can this work with the XE75 mesh network? Do I have to get another XE75 unit for the existing mesh network?

    • So in theory I can get a single X60 or X80 unit and connect to the XE75 mesh network.

  • get a little gl inet wired router (i have the brume2). Use that as your router. THen a little 6 port switch; and then in appropriate parts of the house use the xe75pro.

you'll save yourself the subscription fees for all the parental stuff if you use the gl inet router offerings instead.
