PSA - The Return of Flypay - Flybuys/Coles

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Hi All, not sure it qualifies as a deal/bargain but has been a bug bear of mine for a long while.
Coles previously used flypay to allow customers to spend flybuys points for money off groceries, for online orders. (As we know, they don't have digital gift cards that can be used online, like the superior Woolworths do!)
Previously, Flypay/Coles limited the amount of flybuys points you could use in one transaction to $50 worth.
The improved and recently returned flypay now allows over and above $50 worth of points to be used, making it much easier to burn through flybuys points you might have accrued or converted from credit card spend etc.
It looks like flypay can also be used at First Choice, Liquorland & Vintage Cellars.

    Where is the bargain ???

  • Is this a bargain?

  • The bargain is possibly more earnings for Coles thus less pressure for them to raise prices or have more15% off GCs promos (dreaming….)?

To use the flybuys points do you have to convert them to flybuys dollars first?

For Coles online orders you use points against the order. I think if you’ve converted them to flybuys dollars already then you can’t use them.

      • I would be happy if that were the case as I have an account that I cannot log into any more but $500 worth of points in there. It has also been great now having the automatic $10 off but I prefer not to use that with any bonus points offer as I would have to spend an additional $10.

  • I was never able to get it to work previously when buying from Vintage Cellars
