Any feedback on their door locks?
I use their u100 locks and have been pretty good. My main issue is that sometimes it does not auto lock and the app notifications are quite annoying. I left it on for low battery notification but there is no way to mute locking/unlocking events. I think you also need the hub if you want smart assistant support - although I think it supports homekit without it if youβre using apple home.
Any feedback in general on these guys? Competition etc?
Don't want to invest in a system that'll be dead or isn't worth it.it's the same as the xiaomi stuff, and it's been around for a long time. One of the biggest players/ubiqutous, have had some stuff for years myself integrated with HA and homekit. Would recommend
As above can use with Xiaomi or aqara to a degree as some products are region locked but get on HA and you'll be right.
Unfortunately I'm selling my hubs n switches as I've switched
What did you switch to and what prompted the change?
@wisie: Wasn't a bad switch, was more about reducing the brands in the house and making it all uniform.
I have variants of Meross and Tuya.
A lot (if not all?) of their stuff is zigbee which is a pretty open protocol, so even if they closed down you could still add it to something like home assistant and control it through that. I've got a couple of their roller shade drivers and haven't even bothered adding them to their app, just control them directly through home assistant - using a generic zigbee usb controller, not their hub.
Pricebeat with OW/JB?
Worth noting that some have already been price matched by JB- e.g. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/aqara-roller-shade-driverβ¦
Officeworks price beat for door bell at least
Seems like some item sale prices are already live (e.g. G4 doorbell).
The 5% code you get from newsletter subscription seems to work on top of these prices.
