  • Any one have any advice on whether Platinum vs Anthology is the best actual value?

    • I think they're both the same game, you just get more downloadable content from the Anthology one. If you click on both links you can see what's in each bundle. (I'm still checking too)

Yeah, I gathered that much. Sometimes expensive expansions really fix the core experience, and are almost required for the best experience, and other times what they add doesn't really impact the gameplay, and aren't worth it. I was curious which category the Anthology add ons fall into…

I’ve heard it’s Rise and Fall, the DLC you want. Looks like the $15 pack includes that. BUT, I’ve heard it’s pretty dang slow in the mid to late game on the switch. The time between turns. Due to the low cpu of the switch. I’ve seen people say best stick to small maps, but it’s still very slow.

The frontier pass in the Anthology pack alone is worth the price difference compared to platinum. The game play differences are quite substantial compared to the platinum pack and makes the game more interesting to play compared to the vanilla version or R&F or GS.

  • It's this like Archam Knight on Switch, where they could (and did) port, but shouldn't have (as it's basically unplayable)?

I've wasted much more hours on Switch version than the already substantial time on the PC version. Keep to small maps and it is fine.
