I always use a sharp thin bladed knife to cut bread. So much better than these serrated knives, no crumbs.
Serrated knives are meant to make cutting hard crusty breads easier. A thin bladed knife would be a little more difficult with those but will work great with softer crusts.

It has teeth - not giant ones like a normal bread knife, but is still serrated and likely useful for things like Crossaints, bagels and stuff like that.

If you heat it up a bit, it'll go like a hot knife through butter.
Get yourself an old bone handled butter knife, just the best. Dont put it in the dishwasher though.
