All these alcohol bargains, maybe we should rename this site to Ausalco's…
I'm all for the alcohol posts. Booze is a ripoff these days and it's nice to see some decent value or actual specials for a change.
Thanks bought 2, fiend for the turkey
Makers mark is only $1.40 more, worth it I think
$11 more in victoria
Just grabbed a couple. Whiskey Sours here we come.
This used to be the best quality and value bourbon whiskey when it was 43.4% ABV (86.8 proof), but I would choose Wild Turkey 101 every day of the week now, especially when you can often buy it on special for $55-$63 for a 700ml bottle over this standard 81p Wild Turkey that was released here about 2 years ago.
Completely agree. Last bottle tasted offand realised they'd drop the ABV. Tastes very different now.
just had a couple of shots and i have to agree too - pretty rough and not as good as i expected
It’s really just an ok mixer with coke now. It’s pretty outrageous what many pubs and clubs charge for a shot of 81p Wild Turkey theses days, some places it’s $11-$13… Most pubs and clubs just have cheap entry level whiskey/whisky on the bar and charge high prices for it. I was actually surprised to see a good range on the bar when I went to Club Parramatta recently, they have my favourite bourbon Wild Turkey Rare Breed which was $13.50 for a shot if you’re a member (I was with someone who is a member)… I’m happy to pay $13.50 at a pub/club for a shot of Rare Breed, but I certainly wouldn’t pay that for entry level 81p Wild Turkey.
$46.49 for me (Melb)
$46.59 here….. (WA)
Seems all their member sale prices have gone up. I had a few tabs open with a few items on sale, clicked refresh and they all went up
81p bargain!
