What a coincidence, I am also looking at the same at possibly going iPad only for day to day use, docked to replace an old metabox - (rdp to my work pc, emails etc) My gaming needs are already met with steam deck.
What screen are you using?
It also imo is crazy how all these years later Apple still yet to even remotely make the M1 chip let alone all the newer iterations sweat. QOL improvements such as being able to play audio through inbuilt speakers only got added recently with 17.1 iPadOS… crazy.
I was thinking of trying to do some kind of multi-cam setup with an 11" iPad Pro. Hook up a few cameras, a microphone, microscope, and use the iPad to manage a stream while repairing stuff on my workbench. I've got a 22" monitor with DP/HDMI input at the moment but I would like to simplify the setup a bit.
Would this be suitable for a Lenovo Yoga 9i?

I bought this for work a few months ago. It’s one of the very few rare docks that have 2x USB-C expansion and it actually works
