Not only have whisky prices increased significantly since then, but that old deal had hardly any stock and was sold out in less than 15mins off being posted

How is it?
I’ve actually never had it before, after a few sips I’m still assessing it. The smokey flavour reminds me of an Australian single malt muscat cask whisky from Headlands distillery that I was gifted a couple of years ago:

I prefer Talisker 10 over Ardbeg 10, not quite as big a sale price but still reasonably priced at $83.55 for members.
Also:
Macallan 12 Double Cask is $118.75
Aberlour 12 Double Cask is $87. 95I think Macallan 12 is overrated, Tamdhu 12 is a nicer drop in my opinion… It’s just a pity that it’s not as well known as Macallan.

A'bundah is my absolute favourite too along with lagavulin 16.
dunno bout Talisker, but i definitely rate Laphroaig as being better.
Out of the three my preference is Laphroaig 10 - > Talisker 10 - > Ardbeg 10
But Laphroaig 10 is $105 at the moment.
If offered I'd drink all of them though!
Taste is really personal. For me it’s Ardbeg 10 > Talisker 10 > laph 10.
Laph10 is more watery for me.
@ny8wolf: Agree, Laphroaig 10 is a bit on the weak side. Laphroaig Quarter Cask is much better. If your budget can stretch, Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength is magnificent. They do a new batch every year which vary slightly.
For Ardbeg, An Oa is better than Ardbeg 10 and not much more expensive when on special. Bizarrebq is great, but more expensive again. Corryvreckan is my fav Ardbeg but is around the price of Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength.
On the more affordable side, I highly recommend Bruichladdich Port Charlotte 10 when on special. It's 50% ABV and punches above it's price point.
Can get Laphroaig 10 for $80 currently on Coles online using the code savemore.
Laffy 10 > Ardbeg 10 > Laga 16 > Tali 10 for me in this order. Introducing one more variable that is Laga 16 ;)
Why is QLD being discriminated against?
You can walk in the store and they will price match.
Verry Nice whiskyy, and a great price , just be aware it might not be to everyone's taste (hint: not for people who like their whiskies smoooooth).

Not as much medicinal iodine as the Lagavulin 16 and the peat/smoke is not as overwhelming.
Definitely a good choice for the beginners wanting to experience the Islay region whisky.

I seem to have the same problem, my whisky collection is grows faster than I drink due to deals like this.
It has reached the point where a few unopened bottles are now worth double or triple what I paid for them (based on Australian Whisky Auction sold prices), and am now reluctant to drink those ones!

Corryvreckan is my fav is these, but at 57% ABV it's not for the faint-hearted. It's also the most expensive. BizzareBQ is also very good. I always keep a bottle of An Oa and 10 on my shelf, they are both great value.
The biggest disappointment was Ardcore. Even entry level Islay whisky's are better.
Keep in mind if you've never had Islay whisky before, all these are quite peaty/smokey.

I just bought 4 bottles of these in QLD (Oxley store) for $69.25. The store rep was happy to price match the online member only prices.
Why does QLD get left out? Probably coz of the outdated hotel laws.
