[NSW, ACT] Coopers XPA Cans (24x375mL) 5.2% $47.55 (Member's Price, Online Only) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Dan Murphy's

730

I was checking out the whisky deals from here and noticed some great prices on Cooper's too. The XPA is a cracking beer and at $47.55 I couldn't say no. Usually around $65+ a case.

Also have:
Original pale ale @ $43.35 (https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_751451/coopers-orig…)
Sparkling ale (5.8%, another great beer, paid $68 for a case over the weekend) @ $47.55 (https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_59696/coopers-spark…)
Lager @ $43.35 (https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_322705/coopers-aust…)

    thanks op, bought sparkling

Picked up the Sparking for $44.76 (Welland, SA).

  • XPA or sparkling ale better?

    • +2

Both are great beers. I would probably pick the XPA more often, but the sparkling is great value for a 5.8%er.

    • +3

Sparkling is a legendary Aussie beer as far as I'm concerned, you have to try it at this price.

Technically used to be the Only original Aussie recognised brew style, that is untill the stew of various

craft beers came on to the scene, not sure if that made a real long term impact so far?

    • +1

I prefer the XPA but summer's on the way - buy both.

Stout for $51.05 is the bargain for me

    • Stout is the best.

      • What state are you seeing the stout for that price?

  • Works in WA! Order said price was limited to first 20 ordered (whatever that means).
    Thanks OP

Coopers Orange middys for $37/box in Vic.. that's a win for this old man scared of hangovers.

  • Wow, great deals on many nice Coopers labels. I unfortunately miss out in Qld.

Yea , but they don’t live in Qld .
Let the poor bastards drown their sorrows .

      • Haha, know what you mean. I just drove over 500 Klm from Normington/Karumba on dirt roads accross the top end following the Mitchell River to Chillageo and only saw a few dozen cars and trucks mainly farmers and mine workers. Stunning bushcountry up here. Bought a case of Great Northern Original from local pub, then found out the other pub in town had Balter Pale Ale cases, oh well, next time lol.

There’s an interesting feature on the road from Maytown to the Mitchell River , a mountain that’s a Pyramid or of black boulders .
Looked like something that you could climb from the inside out .
Only a place you want to be in winter , or following the river in ac cab .

Beware the big hungry lizards .

@beach bum: Had a good look at that two years ago on the way up to Cooktown and Bloomfield. Really wanted to get out and have a good walk around, but actuall hard to get access and as you said, although still only in August/September it was already really hot, and there are big snakes there, even one unique to that area, forgot the name though lol.

Edit: Maybe it was a lizzard or frog I was thinking of…..

@ozhunter68: Yea I was actually referring to the reptiles in the lower Mitchell or Palmer rivers , or Bloomfield of course ,
but I wouldn’t put anything past the goannas up there .

Yes also the snakes , funnily enough you have jogged the memory , it was mentioned about the snakes and that hill in particular , it did look like the perfect ambush spot for some large pythons .

You’ve gotta wonder who has top spot as the Apex Predator .
Human with 308 Marlin lever action
              20ft+ croc , 15ft+ python , 8ft+ goanna .

Probably why you only ever see the rear end of a dingo up there .
