Desktop CPUs have been confirmed affected and this one uses a HX which techincally is desktop class but they've not announced extended warranties for these yet…
I've seen a Core i9 labeled ROG laptop got blue screen just after boot. It should be 13th or 14th Gen Core. That guy was just near me in a library.
The funniest thing was he thought his laptop was getting an update. Maybe he had just got used to it.
Could it be crowdstrike issue though. I've seen a lot of those during the week it happened and it continued for several days.
still a bit expensive for a faulty laptop.
Can you extend the ram or is it soldered ?
OMEN 16 doesnt have soldered RAM as far as I know so you should be able to pop the back off it and swap as needed.
How's HP quality and warranty claim these days?
I find them pretty good. A lot better than ASUS, similar to MSI.
ASUS quality and warranty is worse than MSI these days?!
warranty, ASUS quality is good.
I see laptop with 4070 below $2000 still hasn't been created yet.
Spend around $100 more and upgrade to the 4080 GPU. Screen is LCD I think but worth it:
