Car Finance - Current Rates Recently Achieved

Hi everyone, curious to know what rates everyone is getting recently (last 1-2 months) with their car finance?

New, old, balloon payment etc, share your rates and terms :)

There are a lot of variables.
    New, Used, Fixed or Variable.
    Dealer Finance, Bank or other.

What rate did you borrow at (or what rates have you found)?

Rates move up and down as well so little point in posting a rate achieved that is now either unavailable (or uncompetitive).

    Try: plenti.com.au

    • Thanks

This is why I had asked people to mention the conditions they borrowed under (new, used etc)

Wouldn't be it be easier to start by asking for the finance details that match what you're after/looking at?

No point talking new dealer rates,if you're buying used private with bank finance.

I got it for 5.5% by getting the money from my high interest savings account.

  • Between 0% (Bank of Mum and Dad) and whatever the Banks/Lenders/Loan Sharks feel like. lol

  • When I got a quote for a novated lease via SG fleet for a Tesla it was 8.5%

    • Thanks mate. Good to know

    • (profanity) that's cheap.
Mind you SG Fleet are pretty competitive.

      I looked into smartsalary/maxxia and it's pushing 12%

      • Yeah I thought so to I’ve noticed on all the novated leasing forum post on here the avg was about 11-14% I was pretty surprised to. Had a feeling it might have been because it’s an electric vehicle?

maxxia have a reputation for loading the fees / % rate.

      • I've found SGFleet a letdown compared to Orix.

My last company had SGFleet and Orix, then ended up giving the boot to SG.

Orix is one of (maybe the only, I'm not sure) novated leasing providers that does both the lease and financing. I had an interest rate of 2.92% from 2019 and SG was around 6%.

Really wish ORIX was available at my current company.

    22% from the Carlton Crew

  • 0% from Audi

  • IMB new car loan (vehicle less than 4 years old)
    6.24% headline & 6.59% comparison
No penalty for extra repayments, early payout and no monthly fees.
Process was a little clunky with the back and forth but the service was excellent
