For those working on mine sites, eg. Karratha WA, it seems only Telstra providers would get signals there.
Have been switching to Boost prepaid annual plans for occasional casual jobs, about 3x1wk a year. Have dual sim phone so usually can't finish using data on both 6mths overlapping plans.
Telstra signal is not great in our area WA 6057.
Hoping for any suggestions with cheapest available prepaid/postpaid call n data plan just to maintain the same number for occasional site visits.
Got Esim compatible phone.
Any suggestions welcome :)

Telstra is not always best for regional/remote areas. Some areas only have limited coverage auctioned by government and Optus/Vodafone buy them occasionally. It's worth checking the actual coverage map for the area you are using it.
What about Wi-Fi calling? You keep your number with current provider, stock up on $12 28 day Boost SIMs to activate before your 3 site visits, and hotspot to a modem/cheap phone.
thanks, data can use hotspot but mobile calls cannot be received if no signal. Need to be able to receive incoming and make outgoing calls.
Thanks all. Have sign up for aldi $19/10GB 30days plan for now and see how it goes. Seems to be the cheapest atm and don't have to sim-hop regularly.

I believe Boost is the only network that is on Telstra's "retail network" whereas there a other provided on Telstra's "wholesale network"
i want the retail coverage as according to the maps, there is better coverage along the coastline.
Telstra retail vs wholesale coverage
Retail coverage > https://www.telstra.com.au/coverage-networks/our-coverage
Wholesale coverage > https://www.telstrawholesale.com.au/products/mobiles/coverag…
If you need full telstra network, then Telstra and boost are your only option.
