VVMH5

I purchased this fan last week and am really happy with the quality and price. The website says the battery is 7200mAh, but it is actually 10800mAh and also has oscillating functionality

Vevor use Aramex, so you may get it by winter

I received mine with auspost in 2 days

Can you run it while charging? TIA.

        • Also interested to know this, would rarely want to use it as a battery powered fan but love that it folds down small. Any hints on the charging powt?

        • Also wanting to know this

        • +5

Tried it this morning and it is working perfectly fine while charging

  • Vevor generally make good stuff. Customer service is pretty average but better than most. I have had a few issues but I continue to buy from them haha

    • Their customer service is laughable.

Their web site said, and still does, "30 day hassle free returns".

      THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE.

I bought something that I immediately found didn't fit my needs. My fault. Something I hadn't thought to check. They had an alternative that would have done what I needed. Tried to get authorisation to return the one I had, at my expense, and swap it for the other. All I got was hassles.

      • Yeah it’s worse if somethings faulty haha

  • $31 doesn't seem bad. Thanks OP!

  • Great, thanks OP.

Some smaller ultrasonic cleaners available as well:

No clue where the price difference between the first two comes from. I hear Vevor's larger (industrial-looking) ultrasonics are popular, but no idea about these small plastic ones

    • Ive got a bigger 3L unit and it works great

      • Yeah, I was originally thinking of grabbing a 2L from aliexpress during the sales, but the listings were very vague on if the machines sent were 110V or 230V

    • I have one of the 470mL ones and it works pretty well. It runs off 12V and the power is okay for the size.

  • This looks like a good deal too. 20000mah 9" fan reduced by 39% to $43.99 ($38.99 with coupon)

I just bought this now using this link

  • Bought one thanks, still available by going to the homepage and search “fan”

  • Thanks OP. Given that Spring is here early can only imagine how hot this summer is gonna be. Not too sure of the power, quality, battery endurance, but for $30 wouldn't mind if it lasts only this summer. Possibly recover the $30 charging during the day with home solar and using during night.

Be interesting to know how long this model lasts, I live off-grid in the tropics, can't afford a system that could support air conditioning yet! and rely on fans, only brand that has not let me down out of ALL the branded stuff that can run off DC power I've purchased that lasts is Camframo, they even sell spare parts for their fans.

Heller 10 Inch Rechargeable Fan Orange DC/AC- landfill, after about 5 months use, made a grinding noise

Outdoor Connection Breezeway 12V Fan- 5 of these have broken, 3 have had the blades break, one had broken blades out of the box, one has had the motor stop and another has had the plastic case break, have repaired a few also …. rubbish! all now landfill!

Available on eBay for $36. An eBay plus $5 code brings it close to target..

    • 203mm is 8 inch not 12 inch.

      • it appears the one they are selling on eBay is the 8-inch model, so buyer beware

      • Yeah, my bad
        .

  • Searched on their website since OG link is down. They raised the price to $35.99 if you're still interested: https://www.vevor.com.au/cordless-fan-c_12542/vevor-12-inch-…

    • Code still works so original price still holds.

  • Got a tracking number. Looks like they are sending through Aramex. Hopefully, I will get before the summer ;)

    • You will get it before spring.

      • Indeed very fast. Received in 3 days :)

  • Thanks!

  • ordered 3 thanks 🙏

  • Wonder if this would be quiet enough on low settings for circulating air around the house, hopefully it's quieter than the cheap kmart fan I've got.

  • I received my fan today. Very nice build quality. My only gripe is that there is a peep that accompanies the press of each button that is extremely loud.

    • +1

Could take it apart and add a bit of tape over the speaker to quieten it

    • +1

I opened mine and put a piece of tape on the buzzer.

      • Oh great, how can I get it open? I removed the non-slip pads (8" version) and there were no screws.

        • +3

My 12" model has a round plastic cover in the center at the bottom side, you turn it counter-clockwise to unlock it, remove the screws, and the base plate can be removed. The wires for the charging port can't be easily disconnected unless you have a soldering iron, but disconnecting it is not mandatory, it's just a bit more annoying. Remove the screws (there are a lot of them) holding down the cover underneath the base plate, lift it up and you'll see the buzzer.

          • @awph: Brilliant! Thanks very much for the detail.

Per your instructions, I've just opened both my fans (8" and 12") and tamed the speaker with a large dollop of hot glue. Sanity restored.

I missed the centre plate when first inspecting the base, the tolerances are so tight, that I could barely see it was a separate piece.

The 8" was a little easier to work with as the charging port wire was secured by a conveniently located JST connector.

            Thanks again.

            • +1

@ash2000: Glad you got it to work, initially I actually pried it off before I realised I could just rotate it to unlock it lol

  • Arrived today, and it makes a bit of a clicking sound in the base when oscillating in one direction. Anyone else experience that?

    • Mine makes a consistent, low-pitched whine when oscillating, but no clicking. Looks like you might have a defective unit?

      • Bummer. I've contacted them about it already.

Apart from that, pretty good fan for the price

    • I noticed that at first, I manually adjusted the base just enough in the opposite direction to 'equalise' it as the clicking is due to the base reaching the furthest it can turn too early. Hopefully that makes sense!

      • +1

No luck unfortunately - tried twisting it both ways before turning it on. It makes the clicking sound the whole time it is turning to the left, then the noise stops when going the other way.

        • +1

Oh that's a pity, hopefully they get back to you soon.

          • +2

@forrester: They're sending me out a new one apparently, seems I'll get to keep the noisy one so will keep it for camping and the beach. Pretty happy with that to be honest!

            • @Jayphen: Score! That's pretty much buy one get one free 😁

    • Damn first one is fine, no drama. 2nd one has arrived, and it has the same issue. So annoying.

    • +1

I recently bought the 12" model and that has the same issue with the ticking in one direction. I reported it and they would only offer me a $20 refund for compensation. I thought that wasn't too bad seening as I only paid $46 for it initially. I also thought I could take it apart to see why it's clicking and hopefully fix it, but unfortunately no. The clicking comes from the motor itself, even with the rotating bottom removed so no load is on the motor. Oddly with the motor removed from the plastic housing the clicking is virtually gone, but as soon as it's lowered back into the housing where it sits, the clicking is back as bad as ever. I can only assume that when mounted the casing is amplifying the sound. Weird.

  • I'd have checked out what I bought today.
But auspost decided to circumvent my house entirely, not even attempt delivery and go directly to the post office with it. Might get the chance to pick it up sometime next week at this rate :S

  • This is back in stock at $45.99 and the coupon takes $5 off. Still not a bad deal
