Coles Multipack Mini Biscuits Choc Chip Cookies 8-Pack 180g $0.50 (Was $2.30) @ Coles (in Store Only)

160

Make sure you get the old package. the one in a bag, made in Australia
NOT the new package in a box, made in Indonesia
They have a different bar code and price but same product name.
I believe its nationwide for clearance.
They didn't attach a yellow price tag at my local store, so you may need to price check at cashier first.
In store only, C&C turns it back to $2.30.

  • Someone recently told me that if the item is bought at a higher wrong price and taken to customer service desk, they are supposed to give it for free. Any one heard that before?

      Google "coles scanning policy"

      • Too good to be true

It is true, Woolworths has the same policy.

          • @jimojr: Yes sire. I have always been just getting to price adjust. Now I will be on the lookout as a true ozbargainer

If the price scanned is higher than at the shelf you are meant to get the first one free and any subsequent ones at the lower price. We got a $30 box of washing powder free that way. We just wanted the price reduced but they gave it to us.

rather than bothering to scan at a checkout, download the coles app and set your store. You can scan barcodes through that.

    • It depends. The app is not 100% correct on mark down items.
Sometimes you can't find it or it says OOS/not available.

It's a pity Coles website doesn't have a "Check stock in store" so you can see if any local stores have an item. Woolies have that and I find it great as it can determine which store I shop at depending on stock availability of things i specifically need. Good Woolies have it since they do not give out rainchecks.

Thanks OP for the heads up on this. Not good that the product is now made overseas though.
Another home brand product where price overrides loyalty to your own country. :-(

    • You can try to order fo click & collect at your store and see if available.

Coles or Woolies cookies: which are better?

    • Both are no very good. I stick to home baked

Apparently people like the Costco ones. Never tried them because of the large number you get.
