Special terms

Important: Ensure "In Partnership with Cashrewards" or "Cashrewards" branding logo is displayed on each page of your booking. Your sale will not track and will not be attributed to Cashrewards if logo is not present. Your Booking.com confirmation email must also show this and claims will not be accepted if not present. When initiating a booking via Cashrewards on a device, kindly ensure the entire process is completed using that same device.

The purchase amount will display in EUR in your My Rewards, however the cashback amount is converted to AUD at current conversion rates.

Cashback is eligible on accommodation bookings only.

To be eligible for cashback via the Booking.com app, you must have the Booking.com app installed prior to tapping 'Shop Now' from the Cashrewards app.

The final amount of your reward is an estimation, it excludes taxes/fees, additional charges such as cleaning fees on homes, villas, and apartments, and is subject to currency conversion rates.

Cashback is ineligible on the following:

  • Any changes made directly with the hotel/property will invalidate cashback.
  • Car rentals, flights, non-accommodation bookings.
  • Use of any Booking.com refer-a-friend links, codes or any non-Cashrewards incentives (offers, links, newsletters, secret prices), unless stated as eligible on this site.
  • Travel that is not consumed.
  • Cleaning fees for homes & apartments.
  • GST and other taxes.
  • Fraudulent transactions.
  • Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching.

      If the booking hasn't occurred yet, can cancel and rebook. If it's for a completed booking though obviously no though.

    a month ago i was looking at hotels in japan for dec/jan. the price through cashrewards and shopback was higher than booking directly through booking.com. after 10% cashback, the price was equal.
    there is always a risk of your booking not being tracked. for 2% (assuming above scenario), i dont think its worth the hassle.

      I had the same experience here last week. Same price but Cash rewards gets to sell your data! Use ShopBack instead - I got the original price with 5.5% cashback.

      Seems to vary a bit from peoples' stories. Personally when logged in as an L3 Genius I've only noticed jacking once (for Japan bookings at least), all other times it's been equal and I just cancelled and rebooked existing bookings to pocket the cashback.

        That’s been the same experience for me. Obviously always check non-CB price as price jacking can occur.

    Just be aware that booking.com puts up the price when you go through Cashrewards.

    Same room same hotel will be about 5-10% more expensive if u go through CR.

    Bit of a scam if you ask me…

      I made a couple of hotel bookings through CR to today. They’re free cancellations so will check tomorrow to see what the pricing is and report back.

        You dont have to wait just check directly on booking.com or via google instead of linking through cashrewards
